Well, you certainly can't stop them from seeing each other. So what I recommend is to just appear calm and cool about it. Don't show any signs of jealousy because it will leave a bad impression of you. Just be your kind, funny, fun, happy self. Make the guy see what a cool girl you are when you get a chance to see him. Why don't you do some harmless, subtle flirting with him if you were ever to be alone with him. Don't try to make it look like you're seducing him. If you have a much better personality than her and if he finds her more attractive than you are, then he might not be the guy for you. Maybe after he goes out on a few date with your friend and realizes that her personality isn't so great, he might come to you and find out what he missed out on.
Also, if your friend and you have the kind of relationship where you can talk openly to each other, tell her that you saw him first and were interested in him first, if that was the case.
