First off, I have braces. I've had them for 7 months. I had a deep cavity in my back tooth, and I just got a filling 5 days ago. Now the gum tissue on the outer part hurts when pressure is added. There's no swelling or anything, just mild pain from where he put the needle. Also, I just noticed that the tooth acts a little loose. Like how my teeth act when my braces get tightened. Should I be alarmed, or is this just part of the healing process?

If your painkillers have not run out from the time he told you to tell them, just wait. That means there could be pain for at least that long. If it continues, I'd call your dentist.

Sounds as if you might have an infection in the gums around the tooth. I aquired an infection, simular to yours, after having a temp. filling. I thought it was mild inflamation from the work that was done and would soon go away. It didn't. It got badly infected. After Antibiotics the infection cleared but the tooth remained very loose and I lost it a couple of months later. It was a molar. My wife was making caramel apples for a holloween patry and I grabbed a couple of the cubes to eat. It got stuck to the tooth and while trying to work it off the tooth with my tounge, the tooth came completely out.
Call your dentist immediately.

You need to go back to the dentist and get him/her to have a look. This is not normal after 5 days. You could have some discomfort 1 to 2 days at the most.

The tissue thing will resolve itself in a few days, the muscle is traumatized from the injections, thats normal. It can take up to ten days to heal. I am assuming it is on a lower tooth, right? If the tooth still feels loose in a few days or tender to bite on, you need to go back to your dentist so they can check the bite to see if it is alright. Sometimes, when you are still numb in the chair, the bite can still be "off". That is an easy fix, you just need to have the bite adjusted. Don't worry yourself, it will be fine. :)

I was feeling quite different after my numbing shots on Tuesday. I felt like I got an adrenaline rush. I guess for everybody its different, but a numbing medicine can cause you to feel relaxed when getting work done that might other wise cause you to be nervous about.

The needle site can hurt for like a week, especially if he used more than one novavaine shot. Also, about the shaking, I assume you have no braces put there, so just wait a week or two and see if the shaking goes away by itself.

There are trained professionals who will fix your teeth? What are these "braces" you speak of?
I'm growing weary of you arrogant americans and your fancy talk of flouride and toothbrushes, and now "braces" and "fillings".
Next you will be talking of your fanciful space ships and your rampant economy.
