We mock what we don't understand.

Yes, you are right to some extent. Most people are not looking for answers on this site, it is light entertainment. Religion and spirituality will make people give sarcastic answers because they are ignorant full stop. Ignorance is the root of it. Spirituality starts from the love of wisdom. You have to fall in love with wisdom. Not the knowledge taught in schools and universities but something different.
Most people do not have the time becasue wisdom requires time. It requires that you recognize your own ignorance and go searching for wisdom. Most people today are too arrogant to admit that. The great minds of this earth Aristotle, Plato, Pythagoros, Newton, Einstein all admitted that they were ignorant and searched for knowledge. The Old Testament says that it is better to be reprimanded by one wise man than have 10 fools sing your praise.
The mess that we see in this world today is because of this ignorance. The issues regarding religion will only be answered when people start inquiring about other religons and find out that beneath the surface things are very different. Thank you

"this forum is meant to inspire educative and informative debate in minds of the members and motivate them to give appropriate answers."

Say it enough times and it might come true.

If I can inspire one person to stop and thank for a minute, that the Easter Bunny doesn't really exist, then I have inspired.

Just because someones spirituality and religion don't match yours, it doesn't make them any less valid.

First of, not every question on here is a serious one. I usually don't bother trying to figure it out. But if I read a silly or offensive question your chances are my answer will be alike. Second, I know that some of my answers can be considered sarcastic, there is a lot of times I do not mean them to be. Only because I disagree doesn't mean I make fun of you. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Very good question. Normally sarcastic remarks is a sign that they are insecure with their own beliefs or just mean spirited. I know that when I post questions I am looking for serious answers and I only respond with serious answers, so I would like the same respect.

This is not a debate site. It is simply Q & A.

Logical well thought out answers are seldom picked as best answer. So most people just have a little fun with answering the questions.

Most people these days realise that a 'religion' was perpetrated by the leaders of a clan or community in order to instil control mainly by the use of fear.

How many times have we been subjected to terrible outrages around the world that usually have some form of religious belief tendered as the reason.

Places of worship were invented by man ( possibly again those aforementioned leaders) in order to observe how their control was affecting the local population, and to enable a localised census to be carried out to pre-warn them of non-conformists.

Jesus was a non-conformist, he basically performed the duties of a modern day union leader, speaking in non-sensical 'parables' so as to enable people to interpret his words in their own way.

The Christian religion, for instance, was founded on over inflated stories of aledged events that may or may not have happened several years prior to them being recorded - a fine basis for a structured belief.

I have my God, I need no product or service produced by man in order to worship him, and I base my beliefs on what I can see and is proven tantamount.

If you don't see the fun in seriousness and the serious in the fun -
well You'd better get your head examined - because something is wrong with the way your little grey ones are working.
If you want to be among people who can only see one part of life - in your case the serious one - please try in a cemetery.
You may find like minded there.
Life is fun! Come and join us living it - instead of living on a graveyard

They aren't knowledgeable enough on the subject to give an intelligent answer so all they can do is respond with sarcasm. I agree, it's annoying. But what do you do. Loads of morons around the world, just thank the gods they are somewhere else and not in front of you.

Wholeheartedly agree, serious questions should invite qerious answers. They have nothing constructive or educational to offer, they rarely read through and understand the question & are simply unpleasant folk

If they dont have a clue they should just keep to themselves, if they have a point they should present it.
