I find the answers more interesting and meaningful when people have some form of visual representation. Otherwise, it appears they are lurking or hiding. An Avatar seems safe enough to display if a photo is not desired. Does anyone feel the same way?

I expected differing opinions, but why so many nast tones? This is all in good fun. Thank-you to the more pleasant people who know how to enjoy this without such a negative comeback. To those who hate a question; maybe don't answer it??

I don't know how much I agree with you because avators are kind of misleading when it comes to appearances. For one, all avators are stick skinny. Two, there's not enough variety to really express the way you truely look. But yes, it's easier to put a question to a real picture.

I don't have one because some people might not take me seriously based on it. Silly- yes, but without an avatar no one can tell that I'm female. I will answer questions in ways that imply that or simply tell people in other answers but some people value what you say differently based on your gender or other areas of your appearance.

Some of them are lurking and hiding. They're just on here to stirr up trouble, waiting to be pulled. But on the other side I think I didn't had one when I asked my first Question.

Sometimes, one may be comfortable answering in cognito. Some of the questions are very nasty and so are some of the answers. On such occasions, they may prefer to hide their faces.

I don't believe avators actually look like real people. If you want to give the image you are a cartoon, then thats up to you. As for photos, well I don't really want my photo plastered for thousands to view. You are also generalising yourself using avators. If they were an example of what people look like so many of you look the same

1. They don't care about avatars.
2. They're lazy.
3. They are the casual users who ask offensive or dumb questions, then change their Y!A name every other week - no time for avatars when you're this "creative".

Well, at first, I wanted to stay 100% anonymous, but then someone pointed out the same thing you just said, so now there's an avatar.
