UCSD (University California San Diego) is home to the Scripps Institute of Marine Biology and is tops in the country in that discipline. The campus is amazing and Scripps is right on the Pacific; definitely check it out.

Not sure but I would think you might get lucky in San Diego with the Zoo and Sea World being down there. Call the zoo and Sea World and ask, they could point you in the right direction. Ask to speak with someone in those deptartments obviously but they could surely help you. Good luck in your search.
