Don't stare and look crazy, don't act like you are falling asleep, pay attention, answer questions honestly, look like you are listening to what is being said. You may or may not get on regardless - it may depend on the slightest thing, or a quirk of one of the lawyers. I have served on a jury 7 times now, and found each case interesting - I also like to people watch so that helps. Good luck in getting to sit in on a case!

You never really know what the lawyers on both sides are looking for.
Each side gets a chance to veto so many potential jurors for any reasons.
I was once being interviewed for a jury for a DWI (DUI) case. I didn't want to perform my civic duty that week so I argued with the attorneys on both sides. I basically said anybody driving under the influence should be locked up yet on the other hand I said I didn't think the prosecuting attorney could PROVE that the defendant was under the influence.
Well I was chosen anyway.
After viewing the videotape of the obviously drunk defendant, I had to vote guilty.

There relly are none, you are under oath so honesty is not an option and jury selection can be very mean. Serving on a jury is not all that great trust me. Been there, done that.

If you are part of the jury pool and are asked questions, answer them honestly. You are under oath. There are no tricks and you shouldn't try to pull any tricks to get on a jury. That would be unfair to the defendant or the prosecution, unethical, immoral, and possibly illegal.
