Before me and my girlfriend started dating, had just come out of a relationship where she was often hurt emotionally, but was in love with the guy. She had dated him for 3 years, and he was her first. About 3 weeks ago, she broke things off with me because of communication problems we had. I simply needed to let go of a person in my past, and we continued to talk. I started opening up to her as she had wanted, but she told me she had started talking with her ex again. We talked about it alot, and I told her that I didn't think he would change, and that I wanted to be the one she was with. The ironic end of the deal is that just today she told me she found out he was lying to her again, and she told me that she had stopped talking to him. I quickly pounced on the chance to make her mine again, and we have started dating again. The real irony to me is how loving, caring, and touchy she has become in just this one day. It almost feels as if theres another reason for this. Any ideas girls?

dude as a guy who went through somethin similar to this. if u want ur relationship to work w/ her. u have to believe her. the reason why she's very affectionate now, is because she's grateful that u stood by her side even though she tested the waters. there's nothin to be angry about, because at the end u ended up w/ the girl of ur dreams. and that guy was a f'n loser in the first place, and he ****** up again. so no worries, just move on from it. dont even bring it up, what's done is done. now just focus on u guys' present cuz it will lead to ur future.

Sounds to me she is in major denial. I think she is still madly in love with her first. (I'm sorry to say that.)

She will always be in love with him- and you- my dear- will always be her rebound. Notice how she always goes back to the loser. and when she lacks attention from him, she bounces back to you for the attention? She's gonna need a lot of sh*t from him to actually let go permanantly. I've been through this before- it's heart breaking I know. If I was you- I would just find someone new. Being a rebound really sucks.

she finally realised he will never stop lying to her, so she let him go.
