Knowledgeseeker- When Jesus said, "My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me", He was reciting Psalm 22 affirming the fulfillment of prophecy. Also, the Jewish officials of that time wanted to capture Jesus at night. They could not capture Him during a sermon because the multitude would'nt have allowed it. That's He was turned over to the Romans for trial.

Ahmadinejad's comments prompted the question. He's Shia which is 80% of the muslim population and very close to the Twelvers.

Muslims don't believe God allowed Jesus Christ to suffer such a death. Christians understand He was making a way for us as atonement for our sins.

My friend I do not know your source of news about Muslims as a whole that prompted you to ask the Muslims in totality for the confirmation or denial of holocaust. However, I can surely tell you why they as a whole do not believe in the alleged crucifixion of Christ. Just read the reference below. The remarks of Iranian President can not be taken as the voice of Muslim community as he belongs to the Shia faith which constitute less than 25% of the total Muslim population, where the rest even do not consider them to be correct in their faith. As a matter of fact ven the population of Iran is not a 100% Shia Sect. Hence it will be very wise to address the believes of so-called Muslims by their sects rather than passing a generalized comment and hurting the feelings of many other innocent by-standers.

Muslims don't categorically believe that the Holocaust did not occur. Orthodox Muslims do however deny that Christ was crucified. They hold that Allah made it appear as though Christ was crucified and that Christ was instead transported to Heaven, waiting for the end days, in which, according to Islamic eschatology, Christ will establish a rule of 40 years after defeating ad-Dajjal, or the Anti-Christ. However, the Ahmadi sect, which commands approximately 10 million members, do believe that Christ was crucified. This view however remains in the minority.

By the way, Reigning Queen, ever heard of Antyfaszystowska Organizacja Bojowa? Or Fareinigte Partizaner Organizacje? Or especially Żydowska Organizacja Bojowa? The Jews did indeed fight back, if you weren't aware. Anyway, would YOU make any sudden moves while staring down the barrels of Karabiner 98ks in the hands of seasoned Einsatzgruppen?

It will adversely affect their faith that God is the Most Merciful and He is Almighty.

A Merciful and gracious God cannot allow Holocaust to happen.
But they don't understand the fact that the world is being groomed through such incidences and for Him what is important is the true ones that depend on Him under any situation. Within the next five years AIDS will create a similar situation throughout world.

God is merciful, but if we take undue advantage of His mercy, he has no other way.

Jesus Christ cannot be crucified because Jesus is His Prophet (they believe)
Here they cannot believe it because it is questioning the almighty power of God (Allah).
But it is not so. If today Jesus happens to be among us - The Christians will crucify him or the Muslims will slay him with Golden Sword. Because Jesus will speak truth and the truth in its pure form is so sharp and the whole world cannot withstand it. Just imagine a situation in which one speaks to the Muslim world comparing Quran with their life today. Sure, they will stone Him to death.

You know I REALLY hate repeating myself!! Ok look first off you need to do some research on Islam before you ask such a ridiculous question. Look Muslims do not hate Jews, at least there is no anti-semitism in the Koran as far as I know and my mother is Muslim. They don't dispute the Holocaust. As far as them not believing Christ was crucified. That's not true. Christ to Muslims was a prophet. Muslims just don't believe Christ is the Son of God. Other than that they regard him in the same way as Christians. You should talk to some Jews and Muslims. You will find their languages and religions have a lot of similarties.

Finally just get educated on Islam and its relation to other religions you idiot because you really don't know anything about it!

I thought that the Muslims did believe both happened. They preach that the Jews are from Hell and God hates them, they teach that that is WHY the Holocaust happened and since Jesus was himself a Jew, he was crucified for being one. The teach that God hates the Jews and that these things prove it. I saw a history show on TBN and a very similar one on the History Channel that showed TV shows and teachings in a Mosk (that's their church right?) telling the people that Jews and Americans are not to be feared but killed because they are forsaken by God himself as evidenced by those two (and other) events. This is a good question and worth looking into.

1)The Bible testifies to the fact that Jesus was known among the Jews; he used to preach and deliver sermons in the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem. It was therefore unnecessary to hire a Jew for thirty pieces of silver to direct them to him as related in Matthew
2)It is related that one of the twelve disciples named Judas Iscaroit was hired to direct the Jews to Jesus. They then sentenced him after which Judas was greatly ashamed and dissociated himself from their act and then committed suicide. All this took place within 24hrs. The contradictions are obvious.
The clearest proof which alone is sufficient to discredit this story is when the Jews passed the sentence of death against Jesus and intended to get the approval of the governor, Pontius Pilate. The Christians interpret Matthew 27:11-14 to mean that Jesus wanted to die on the Cross of the redemption of mankind and for the forgiveness of their sins. If so, than why did he ask to turn away that cup from his (i.e.death) which is shown in Matthew 26:39 ? Why did he cry out while on the Cross (as all Christians) assume: “O Lord, why hast Though Forsaken me? Matthew 27: 46? How could he have remained silent when the truth was being challenged? He was known for his soul-inspiring

He was known for his soul-inspiring sermons challenging the learned Jewish Rabbis. No sane person can believe this if they stop and think about it!!! N anyway, if Matthew 27:46 is really true, than this is a blatant declaration of disbelief according to all theological authorities. Whoever relates it to a Prophet is a disbeliever according to all the revealed religions.

there u r. now u know why

Good question - although I can't really answer the first portion, the second portion I know a little about.

Some muslims believe that there was no Jesus - there never was a man that existed that walked the earth on behalf of God. God just is/was.

Thus the hatred toward Christianity because so much is placed on the believe that Jesus lived.

The Qu'ran says something different about Jesus's death: I think they believe he just ascended into heaven.

As for the holocaust, that is not true. Some crazy Muslims may believe that it didn't happen, but so do some crazy Christians. Muslims as a whole do not have this belief, despite what some world leaders may tell you.

They believe (and if Im wrong I hope they'll correct me) Jesus was lifted up before his resurrection.

And I dont know about the Holocaust, but there are MANY people out there that dont believe it, think its a hoax.

There really is no historic document except the Bible to support the death of Jesus, and the documents that support the Holocaust, many people think are fake.

I'm muslim. The holocaust may have very well happened. i couldn't really tell coz i wasn't around, but the thing is that even if did happen the jews didn't fight against it. why?? i don't know. maybe so they could later on reap benefits. and jesus is not dead. even christians know that. he is going to return to rule the land before the day of judgement. muslims believe that jesus was lifted to heaven by god.
