We met briefly one week ago.......he's been calling...and seems to be (for the very first time in a long while)someone that I would enjoy hanging out with....but being me....I drove him away.

I couldn't bring myself to call him, since "the fall" happened over the phone...so I emailed him this past Sunday morning.

try and see if he still cares for you as your saying here....but 1st look inside yourself and ask why did i drive this cool person away? do i feel threaten by him? how can i fix this so i can be a better person to him as well as to myself then when you finished asked yourself that there lies the answer !!!!

let him know you like him, but tell him you understand if he wants to be cautious...offer to hang out someplace public, but not too crowded...invite him for a beer...
