I know this will be hard for anyone to belive but i have never really dated.Im 29 and ment the nicest man online at an question and asnwer board we both went to three years ago. Since then we have grown very close and talk on the phone and etc..I really would love to be with him one day as i have so many issues and he is great with me and helps me settle each one of them and loves me despite them. The big thing is I don't think my family will ever go along with this becuase he is in his fifties and all but, hes a young fifty if you know what i mean here. I am very close to my family and have never been able to be out on my own yet due to my issues. What do you all think? Any helpful hints?

Ok in my opinion you should do what your heart says. Sure you must love your family but you need to make this decision by yourself. Age isn't a factor for dating, and if your family loves you they'll stick by your side no matter what.

"Issues" could mean about anything, so any answer you get will only be as nondescript.
Unless your issue is that your family can't/won't let you leave, I would think they would be estatic that you've met someone, even in their 50's if you're almost 30. So I'm not sure what the problem is. The question now is, are you prepared to move forward, despite any obstacles?

Yea....I think the guy is married with a family. He's not going to come clean on this until you press to meet him. Don't try. Just have the friendship from afar and find yourself a REAL man who is closer to your age. This man is too old for you and playing you.

If you are sure that this guy is not some creep and you really like each other the go for it. If your family really cares about you they'll at least give him a chance. Either way it's your life and your happiness.

Honey- age is only a number. and due to your "issues," parents are normally over protective. My parents never liked me dating whites- but hey, they got used to it.
If you like this man, and he likes you despite your issues. Then go for it. Family will always be family.

i think that if you really love him and want to be him him that age doesn't matter. Age is just a number, its your maturity and your feelings that really count!
