And by equal, I don't mean "reveared, but still submissive to men," or "man's helper." I mean a religion in which women are seen as equal to men in mind, strength, and spirit, where women can hold the same offices and are given the same respect and rights as men are.
I'm not asking if you think such a religion is right or wrong, I'm just asking if there is one.

All I know is this. It says in the bible that man is the head of woman. Is it important for you to be equal? I think this day and age is a little different, with women seeking equal rights. I still believe that in a marriage anyway, that man should be the "head" so to speak. I don't mean that he should boss her around or whatever. I just think that man should be the head of the household. That's just my opinion however. Not saying that I am right either. Religions are all different of course. And you'll find some that are very ignorant to women and treat them very unfair. Others will treat them with respect....this is what I agree with, afterall, we are humans too.

Nice question!
Hey you cant make men and women equal into each and everything. Why? Just because the sphere of functioning for men and women are different.
Men have a degree of advantage in one field and women in the other, therefore you cant have the same equal rights for them.
Physically men are stronger, therefore hard, strenous works are not meant for women. Financial burden therefore is / should be laid on men.
While women are good caretakers, therefore they are responsible for upbringing of the newborns and educating the children. I dont mean to say, that women should be confined to that, but generally this holds good.
For example, if a thief enters my house, i cant say since men and women have equal rights, my wife should also fight to drive the thief. Or i cant say "hey why must i fight alone, you (my wife) go and fight him"
Is this not foolishness? Therefore, a society can run peacefully only if men adhere to their spheres of function and women to theirs.
This is the Islamic perception about women rights. Want to know more?

Wicca. The Goddess is more powerful than the God, to the point that sometimes the God isn't even worshipped.
I believe several other Pagan religions are. I know the ancient Celts (not sure if it was Druidism or not) held women in the highest regard because they could be mother, high priestess, warrior, etc.

Buddhism is the religion where there is no distinction between women nor men. All no matter male or female can achieved enlightenment if they can follow Buddha's teaching. And also in real Buddhism, we do not worshiped Buddha, but we pay homage and respect to him and followed his teaching. Buddhism is in the heart. We do not need statue nor effigy to follow Buddhism. The statue is but a symbol of our respect for him.
However like other religions, local cultures and belief were blend into Buddhism creating various version of Buddhism like the Zen Buddhism of Japan and Thai's Buddhism. But the core teaching remain the same.

Yes. Haven't you heard of the Amazons? They are mighty women warriors. I think Wonder Woman's mother is the queen. All of the women are 6' tall and over and they keep men as sex slaves for breeding. According to Greek Mythology they were so serious about thier hunting and fighting that they severed one of their breasts in an effort to draw back their bow strings further. They practiced religion and I think they worshipped the mighty Isis.

This is interesting. You already know what's right, yet you seek some other, pre-existing belief structure (thought up by somebody else, who is probably dead) to confirm what you already know for yourself.
To answer your question, though, I don't know. Maybe wicca or one of the various neo-pagan religions. Yahweh and his descendents pretty much mopped up all the religions that value the female side of humanity.

Yes, and it is Christianity. Funny you should mention this, because my priest gave a sermon during Mass this morning about this very subject.
Women are equal to men in every respect. God may have given us different talents and roles, but it just means we're different on some things, not unequal.

Islam is . Example,
1)a working wife by islamic law gets to keep her salaries(all of it ) but a working husband have to allocate aportion to his wife even if his wife is working.
2)A child have to obey to their mothers 2x more than their dad.
3)Islam never said that it was Eve who is the cause for Adam and herself to be stripped of the privillige and sent to Earth but they were both wrong (equally).
There are many others but this will be suffice for now. Never blame the faith of a person if that person behaves badly.

Try the Catholic Church...
We Catholics honor the Blessed Virgin Mary (a woman) as the most perfect created person... the model Christian.
No created man is given a higher honor.
In fact, we honor Mary (Jesus' Mother ) so highly that people often falsely accuse us of worshiping her... which of course we don't.
We worship the one True God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
It is ONLY by cooperating with God's Grace that we are able to do God's Holy Will... i.e. please God.
By the Grace of God, Mary was allowed to be born "full of Grace". And because of that, she said "yes" to everything God asked her to do.
And that is what we all should strive to do. To say "Yes" to God whenever He asks us to do something.
That is why we revere Mary, a woman, as the model Christian.
