it is up to the victim of the adulterer to decide whether or not to cintinue with them.
By all rights, a person whose marriage partner has commited adultery can leave and remarry with God's blessing.Yet in the BIble is the story of a man whose wife commited adultery against him and he forgave her and took her back.
Jesus guideline seems to have been to forgive others as we expect to be forgiven.

As a Christian, I believe that in the case of adultery one must always forgive. Even though it may take years at least pray that you can have the will to EVEN forgive. Remember, we are all sinners and stand guilty before God. The only thing making adultery look like a greater sin is because of the emotion behind it. But in all honesty, adultery can put you in hell just a easily as a little white lie.

God forgives and forgets once we ask him to forgive us of our sins but, people are the problem they might for give but they dont forget, God words stopped a lady in the bible from being stoned, she was caught in the act of adultery, people make mistake not body is perfect and i am not justifing adultery so we must learn as a people to walk and talk the way Jesus did. Love covers a whole lot of sin

For those of the Christian Faith to not forgive is not an option... But that is something that can not be forgotten... The destruction of trust alone is enough to insure long term after effects...The toleance level for pain is the deciding factor IMO for the longterm consequences.

many people think forgiving is forgetting...but the act of forgiveing is compleat when there are no more feelings of hostility or revenge in the mind of the forgivor against the forgivee... God dose not say you will forget...or that trust will automaticaly return...

Well when you say your wedding vows it is for better or for worse. I do believe this is including adultry however this is also a very complicated situation. If this is something that is ongoing then you don't want to be trapped in this the rest of your life. If you could put yourself in your partners shoes then would you want the forgiveness? Every situation is different so it is really hard to say.

It is a sin. God forgives if asked forgiveness and when you repent. That is a ground for divorce. Personal choice. It depends how forgiving and how forgetting you are.

I cannot answer yes or no. this is a very circumstantial subject to consider. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends if there is enough trust left to build upon for starters. Ask yourself if there are benefits which outweigh the negative consequences, both past and present! Peace!

For me, not adultery.

You took a vow before God to "have not others before you" when you wed.

Adultery, to my way of thinking, is just having sex. You keep the benefits of being married, but nip out every so otfen for some nookie.

It makes a mockery of the vows and you are only fooling yourself. And what will you gain by all this?

Well there is only one sin that is not forgiven. But to be forgiven you must repent. trutly repent.

Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and your household.

Matthew 12:31 Therefore I say to you, All kinds of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men, but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.
