I think she's cute looking but I can express it in public to her. I want to get to know her; however, I don't want to do it as she is working. I'm stuck on this one.

As you approach the cashier, tell her how attractive she is and that you have something for her. A joke.
Then, every time you go to the store go to her and tell her another joke. After a while, she'll either respond to you or she'll ignore you, And, you'd be able to see if she likes what you have to say and then ask her to have a joke ready for you the next time you come in.
If you should ever see her outside of her place where she works you can easily approach her and tell her something to make her smile.
The point is to be an enjoyable person with whomever you meet and the world will be your friend. Being someones friend is the first step toward gaining their confidence and that will lead you to being a better you.

My friend put his # on the receipt of something and gave it to a cashier he thought was pretty so maybe you could try that.
