XXXXXXXXXXXXXX kissing and hugging before you get married is not wrong. Having a sexual relationship with your fiance is not wrong. Two many people believe this myth and marry as virgins and don't know how to satisfy eachother and wound up divorcing because they aren't satisfied and don't get the satifaction they need. Two virgins on their honeymoon is like scared rabbits not knowing who touches who, when, where and how so the honeymoon night is spent feeling awkward and shy. It is for better to not be a virgin on your honeymoon. Well, that's my opinion anyhow. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Depends a lot what kind of kissing and hugging. If it's just friendly and platonic, then maybe it's OK. But if it's a step down the road to a one-flesh relationship, if you're getting turned on sexually by it, for example, then there's a lot of serious questions that need to be asked.

A lot of the problem is that people don't think about the consequences before doing things. Evidently you've thought about the consequences of sex before marriage and aren't planning to do it, or you wouldn't be asking this question.

When I say marriage, I mean more than just a piece of paper. I mean really putting each other first (even before Mom and Dad), making a permanent commitment to each other and taking sole personal responsibility for the consequences of one's decision (so that Mom and Dad don't have to live with the consequences if, God forbid, the relationship goes bad or breaks up).

And I too have decided to save myself for my husband in this way (42 years old and still counting). So the question I ask is 'Does it make sense to do anything non-platonic before I'm really sure I want a one-flesh relationship with someone?' And no, it doesn't make sense to me to take steps in that direction without being sure - at very least engaged.

Before that, I may hug and kiss (on the cheek), but I won't even so much as flirt with a guy unless I take him *really* seriously. There, I've given you something to think about. May God bless you as you make your decisions about what to do with your personal life.

I'd hope you hugged & kissed a girl before you married her...need to know a little about a person in that respect before you get hooked up for life.

No indeed; kissing and hugging is fine and expresses love for the other person. Sex on the other hand, is an individual decision.

no way on earth is this wrong! anyone who told you this should be shot! of course you have to kiss and hug your partner before you get married, its only natural! you need to know if they are the one for you in everyway and this means if you two are compatible this way to. there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
