I think most religions take themselves way too seriously. Keep in mind God gave us a sense of humor, after all. As long as you do good things to help others, it shouldn't be a requirement to attend any particular church or be part of a specific religious group. Being a Christian doesn't necessarily have anything to do with going to church or being a member of a religious affiliation. The way some of those people act, they give a bad name to people who really are Christians.

You're begging the question: "Do you have to be in any religion?"
It can seem like there are only so many options in the world, but there are really as many as you can imagine. All religions have something good (no matter how tiny that thing might be), and they all have something bad about them.
There is such a thing as following your own path. Most people don't do this because they can't. Instead, they choose a religion from among those known to them--which usually is the religion of their community--and just go along with whatever the religious leaders/books tell them.
For the more spiritually mature of us, who are tired of asking questions and not getting answers, there is the option of looking inward for your own path. It's a lonely road sometimes, but nothing is more rewarding.

Even if you embrace 1 religion does not mean you cant study other faith. If any religion forbid you to find out about any other religion, then that religion is definitely wrong as they are afraid that you will find out the many wrongs they have. When studying the different faiths, have an open mind. A person with religion but behaves badly and with worse character does not mean his faith is wrong. Its just that he does not practise what he preaches. Never blame the religion but the person. I suggest you would look at the other teachings of the other religion. We are fortunate that Singapore is so diverse with many different faiths and generally respect each other. If you want i can provide you some links : )

Very simply put... A wise man once said that it doesn't matter which religion you follow... as long as you follow it...
Understand?
The man was Edgar Cayce.
What it means is that if you read and follow the edicts of Jesus, and ask him to come into your life, then you are a Christian.
The organized religion aspect is simply something that is man made and fallible.
Simply because you fail at times, does not mean that you are in the "wrong" religion, it means that you are human, and that you have to try harder to overcome your weaknesses.
One thing to consider...
If you sincerely wish to overcome you weaknesses, the best way to do so is to surround yourself with like minded people and not those that will bring you down.

Keep your faith in Christ. You're not in the wrong religion. I, too, have a bad mouth sometimes. Sometimes it's because I had a bad day, or i'm in a bad mood, or got angry and go off. I know I shouldn't, but I do.
Nothing wrong with parties and being with friends, as long as you don't do anything you're not supposed to, like drugs, sex or alcohol (if you're not old enough to drink).
Just keep trying to do better. God knows we're trying. When you slip up, pray to God and ask Him to forgive you. He will.
As far as other people telling others they're going to hell and all that, dont' pay attention to it. Just concentrate on doing better for yourself, and stay close to God. He loves you more than you know, and loves it when you talk to Him.
Take care and God bless.

No I think that you are just confused and not as focused on God as you should be. You know hwat it is to be saved and you still have habits when we become saved our habits are still there its the conviction in our hearts that is differnt telling us this is bad and so forth... I still cuss at time and I have over ridden guilt when I do... it may be cause you dont go tot church or have church friends and class to hang with when we stay in the secular world we act as the world. That is why God said to come out from amoung the world. Read your bible even if its one verses a day and youll get closer to God and I pray he moves folks in your life that are christian and understand Gods love...

If you have excepted Jesus in your life as your Savior, then you are a christian. But there is so much you are missing out on! Jesus said in John 10:10b " I have come that you might have life, that you might have it more abundantly". Jesus wants you to live life to the fullest. If you follow Him then you will have life. And it really helps if you go to a good church to help you grow, & live out that abundant life. You miss a lot if you don't go to church. You have to find a good one tho. Some are as dead as the grave, but there are really good churches out there. Christains are supposed to help each other in their chritian "walk". And just follow what Jesus did, how He acted as much as you can - He is the best example to live by. And don't think you are supposed to be a boring ol' church lady cause you are christian. We have tons of fun! And lots of excitment! You just need to experience the life Jesus ment for you to have - and right now it doesn't seem to be happenen. So find a good church, good christian friends to help ya, & read the Bible. That helps a lot! And so does praying. God understands what you're goin thru, & wants to help! So ask Him. Talk to Him. He wants a better relationship w/ you , cause He is Crazy about you! & wants to be in your life! But don't give up - whatever you do. I have been there. It may just take alittle time to grow, but God will help ya.

NO I DON'T THINK YOU ARE THE WRONG RELIGION, I THINK YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING YET. IF YOU HAVE AN OPEN HEART AND WILLINGNESS TO LEARN MORE, THAN GOD WILL SHOW YOU THE WAY.
AS FAR PEOPLE TELLING YOU THAT YOU ARE GOING TO HELL.......IT'S TRUE, IF YOU DON'T TURN YOUR LIFE AROUND (LIKE THE BIBLE SAYS) YOU WILL GO TO HELL WHEN JESUS COMES BACK. AND THE ONLY WAY TO TURN YOUR LIFE AROUND IS TO GO TO CHURCH. PEOPLE DON'T JUST SAY THAT TO BE MEAN.....IT'S A WARNING, AND YOU CAN TAKE IT ANYWAY YOU WANT........BUT IT TRUE!!!!!!
FOR THE MONEY ISSUE, MOST PEOPLE FEEL THAT CHURCH IS "TO EXPENSIVE" OR PASTOR'S, MINISTER'S ARE JUST CROOKS AND THEY JUST WANT TO PUT YOUR MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS.......WELL, THIS ISN'T THE CASE FOR ALL CHURCHES.
I TELL YOU WHAT.....WHY DON'T YOU GO TO CHURCH AND DON'T PAY YOUR OFFERING. BUT JUST GO TO GET A WORD FOR YOUR HEART OR SOME PRAYER.
AND WORRY ABOUT THE MONEY THING LATER, CAUSE ONCE YOU GET RIGHT, YOU'LL DO RIGHT
GOD BLESS

Do you believe Jesus died for your sins personally? He died for all of us, but specifically for you. He is a personal God. I struggle with the same things you do, as long as you know Jesus Christ as your personal savior, then you're probably just a work in progress like the rest of us.
Jesus died for our sins for what? So that we can have communion with Him and escape an afterlife without Him specifically Hell. I know that when I came to know the Lord, I ran home and told my sister and loved ones because I wanted them to have the good news I had found (or found me rather)-Jesus. I wanted my family to know the peace of Christ and escape Hell.
Don't worry about religion, concentrate on your walk with Christ. I try and pray a lot.
