I am a single guy, 28, who is tired of the bar scene, I am thinking about the online dating thing but am not sure which one to go with?? Which site gives you the best results for your investment, I have heard that most of the things are a scam and the people are not real? Is that true...or just a jaded pessimist?

Yahoo and Match have the highest membership, so you will have a much better chance there than the others. Don't put crap in your profile that you wouldn't tell a girl in person the first time you talk to her though. And don't do all that mundane crap: "I'm honest, sincere, have a great sense of humor...." Make it interesting so that a person reading it would want to get to know you better in person. "I like to have fun, go out, stay in," blah, blah, blah. None of that bullchit. If you're one of those 1 in 1,000,000 who absolutely hates movies, put that. But if you're one of the other 999,999 that likes them, it's assumed. Don't bother with the mundane details. Look at the other profiles of guys before you submit your own. You can easily tell which ones suck from the one or two that are actually worthwhile. Enough?
