Some are put in the form of a question when it's clearly a statement. And don't get me started on the spelling or puncuation. All I ask is that if you're going to put yourself out there for people to reply to then at least try to pretend you have a few live brain cells.

No, it's not just you. I suspect there are a lot of very young people here, people that text message a lot have a horrible sense of communicating in writing. Very few people use the "Check Spelling" feature that is above the question boxes and the answer boxes. So we are stuck with the dreck of the marginally literate.

This is the Internet however and it being available to everyone, you don't get to pick who's on a site. Basically I've noticed some niches that people are more mature and better spellers.

It is frustrating that people are supposed to write in English and there's so much code out there that makes it incomprehensible. I think they are accessing Yahoo with portable devices and that's why they write like it's all text messages, because it is.

We are dealing with teenagers, the most stubborn anti-rules people on the planet. It doesn't pay to get so angry and insult them, as you see, they more than willingly shove it back in your face. You'd be better off finding a good grammar website or something if you're overly bothered by the bad writing on Answers. If you learn to expect less, you'll be surprised with the little nuggets that are out there.

I have my days where I report someone because their question is so un-readable. But then other days, I'm not bothered at all. It's rare that I'm that peaceful, but it does happen.

Good luck.

There is no such thing as a stupid question. If people knew everything like you apparently do there would be no need for a site such as this. And when it comes right down to it your question is just a lame statement so who are you trying to fool? Yourself? Certainly not me! Ha Ha Ha Good luck with the brain cell thing you got going there! lmao

"puncuation" last time i checked that was spelled in another way. it's what the title says : "REAL PEOPLE. REAL QUESTIONS". you are either a bit slow, or really cranky. most people by definition ask rather silly questions so you might just as well get used to it :)

all the best,
Teddy

By all means, click the little "x" on the top right corner of your screen, and put yourself out of your misery.

And learn how to spell, know-it-all

Yes, there is a lot of lameness here. But if you dig around long enough you will find some really interesting stuff.

Its just not you... Lots of bad questions, which means those really good questions are being just brushed aside... Can't help it but there's little we can do about it!!
