I was just wondering if it's ok to be a model of you're a Christian, as long as you're not modeling for brands like Victoria's Secret, and not showing your body off?

alright, to blaze: Beyonce is NOT really a Christian! Look at her songs such as Naughty Girl and Hip Hop Star. She's sleeping with Jay Z, and she's not married to him. She swears in her songs. She is entirely hypocritical.

I agree that it is ok set your standards according to what God says in the bible. but remember its tough and you need to have a good sense of who you are and confidence in yourself. That needs to be solid. I think that it would be a good mission field where you could tell people about the Lord

Sure there are all types of modeling situations that don't involve modeling lingerie or nudity. If you want to be a model I say go for it. Just always remember that you are a child or God and don't let people try to steer you in a direction you don't want to go. I have a cousin who is a gospel singer. Years ago she and her cousin (from her father's side of the family), who also sang gospel music were both offered contracts to sing secular music with Motown. My cousin stuck by her morals and principles and turned down her contract while her male cousin abandoned his gospel roots and signed on to become and R&B singer. Well it wasn't long before he threw all of his christian values out the window and began to indulge himself in the world of fornication and drugs. A couple years later he was found dead from a drug overdose. What is really sad is that he was a very nice and talented young man with his whole life ahead of him. There is nothing wrong with pursuing your dreams of a modeling career, just as long as you remember to always stick by your principles and don't let your career take the place of God. I wish all the best. May the Lord bless and keep you. Peace.

The modeling industry has a variety of people involved in it and some are Christians. It would be wise of you to be careful of bad association as warned about in 1 Corinthians 15:33 but I see no reason for you not to model. In any profession it is good to remember that as Christians we are to seek first God's Kingdom and all other (good) things will be added to us.

I believe that here you are being hypocritical.
Don't yoy know that Italy is the fashion capital of the world and by the way which religion they generally follow?
It is not in religion, it is in your choice. As far as you keep your heart & mind clean from any malice towards anybody, God will treat you properly. However, if you have double standards then please do not think that it is correct bcos YOU are thinking so.
Try to be a good human being than a nasty religious fanatic.

I don't think so. The body is a sacred temple. Sacred should mean something. God created the human body for Modesty and Chastity. No one should model anything, ever.

Any modeling is showing your body. Some one has to do it. It is a profession.
