Is it rude to yell out your car window to a homeless guy that has his little "will work for food" when a McDonalds that is directly behind him has a "Now Hiring" sign? I wanted to yell and point that out to him

Is it rude to yell out your car window to a homeless guy that has his little "will work for food" when a McDonalds that is directly behind him has a "Now Hiring" sign? I wanted to yell and point that out to him I did not yell at him and I would never do so, but I was just curious as to why he would not take advantage of that opportunity.

You can't get a job with out a address. It also helps to have a place to shower. Yes it is rude, by the grace of God you could be holding that sign someday.

Well, if the city you live in has panhandling laws you can call the police and have them deal with it. At one stop light here there is now a trespassing sign and no one has been there since.
I was thinking I should just keep a box of those crackers and cheese or peanut butter dealies to toss at the sign people. There's always the question where the money is actually going like to drugs, booze or cigarettes.
I hear D.C. has a great plan where you can buy meal coins at a shelter and give those to the panhandlers. That way you give to "the needy" yet you get to decide how the money is spent since they are only good at the shelter for meals. Viola! Control over the situation.
Now as far as yelling at the guy, I'm sure you're not the only one who has had the urge to point out the discrepancy, but none-the-less, yes it is considered rude. Besides they might come over and punch you or something and that wouldn't be worth it.
Peace.

ALL jobs require an address and contact info. A homeless person isn't going to have a cell phone because the company will require an address.
How do you know the guy didn't walk in there and try? He probably got laughed at...so being yelled at from a car window could have just upset him.

To yell is so rude, unless the homeless guy is deaf.
Will be to much for you to get out of the car and told him that they are hiring at mcdonalds, maybe u can help him with his interview...
Dont do to others what u dont want others do to u ok.

Most homeless people are I'm sure you will agree, homeless for a reason. Most have some sort of severe brain damage, they simply cannot help themselves. It is not our job to make them miserable, they are miserable enough from being in the condition they are in.It's our job to park the car take them into Mcdonald's buy them something to eat and talk to them.Every opportunity to grow your spirit God gives you should not be ignored.I ,I ,me,me,mine don't like the sight of these folks either, but I cannot help for saying in my soul "but for the grace of God there am I"See if this person is able to work?If they are help them.Mother Teresa said,"when I look closely in their eyes I see Jesus looking back at me"!Try TLC,you will be BLESSED!!!

Yes it can be. If he could clean himself up and keep up his attire don't you think he would go for that job. Also, would you eat at a McDonalds' that had a person working there that had dirty hands and was dirty all together? Think before you act.
