i think we're gonna break up and he says "no... not now" how should i take that or what does he mean by that?

i think we're gonna break up? i dont want to break up with him so i ask him if we were and he said "no... not now." after the fight we had and all so idk how to take it.

it sound like he doest know what he want to do about the situation
i would seriously talk to him about this, this no not now is for the
birds, sorry to say. and i would let him know that he need to
be upfront about what really going on

my opinion:
since you said "i think we're gonna break up..", i am assuming it is your idea to break up.
"no, not now.." may mean one of the following:
1. he does not want to break up and with the "..not now.." liner, he wants to buy time and hope to charm you to stay together.
2. he's going through a bad patch in his life right now and does not think he can handle a breakup at this time
be honest with your feelings. if there is no trust and/or love and/or mutual respect in the relationship, get out. if there is trust, love and mutual respect in the relationship and there is only some minor glitch in the relationship, give it a second shot.

Maybe you should ask him directly what he means. He could maybe just be wanting another chance with you. If he is worth the hassle then hear him out. You can usually tell a good guy when you have one. Good luck! :)

It looks like he wants to be with u, but it also looks like he's saying, i'm sorry to say this, when i'm bored of u i might break up with u. Just be careful. I can totally be wrong.
