Lebanon and Hezbollah are not exactly the same entitiy. Hezbollah is more like the south when it split from America before the civil war.
Hezbollah wanted to do everything its way and control its own citizens and its own politics. The problem is that Lebanon doesn't have the security forces or the militaries powerful enough to police and control the activities of Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is dedicated to antisimitism just like every other Arab country in the region - the ones that preach the downfall of Israel every night in their media.

Hezbollah had 13,000 rockets pointed at Israel and felt that since America is entrenched in the quagmire which is Iraq that there would be almost no force capable of stopping it if it felt it could do serious devastation to Israel. Also, last summer, Israel pulled out of the Gaza Strip and gave it to the Palestinians which has since resulted in continuing violence from Palestinian militants.

Personally I think Israel may not have any other motives than just protecting itself. I don't believe Israel is trying to exapnd its boarders because that wouldn't be tolerated in today's political climate. I feel that Israel considered Hezbollah such a dangerous threat that it took this chance to wipe them out for good. Unfortunately that plan is backfriing because Hezbollah's rocket attacks are so random and so violent. Now Israel is trying to back out of the conflict as diplomatically as possible so the rest of the Arab world doesn't see that they failed against Hezbollah.

For Israel to show any weakness would be suicidal since the Arabs are more likely to step up their attacks against her.

Just wait until the Iranians start making nuclear bombs. That is going to be a real test because I do not find it impossible that some psychotic Arab militia would be willing to drive one into Israel and detonate it.

When the Balfour Declaration was made, Britain promised Jews that they would have a homeland of its own, that would not contain any non-Jews. At the same time, Britain promised the residents of Palestine, that there would be no population movement.

for thirty years, Britain refused to allow Jews to legally immigrate to Palestine. In 1948, Britain grudgingly granted Palestine its Independence, making additional promises to both sides, that conflicted with each other.

As a means of protection against the British Occupational Force, the Jewish Defense Force did go on house to house searches, in some parts of Israel, burning everything to the ground. Once the British Forces were out of Israel, and it was granted independence, the surrounding Arab countries attempted an invasion of Israel. This invasion was stopped by Britain, only because it was forced to come to the aid of its allies --- Syria, and Egypt. [ Britain has never been an ally of Israel, consistently supporting the side that fought Jews.]

Since that first peace conference, which was conducted in bad faith by the Arab countries, and Britain, the only time Israel has had a fair chance of achieving peace, is to offer the Arab countries land that Israel had taken from them in the war just fought. [In most Peace conferences, the side that loses the land, is the side that has to accept the terms. The side that wins land, is the side that gets to set terms. This has never been the case when Israel has clashed with a neighboring country, despite the fact that Israel has won every war it fought.]

The consistent demand of the Arab countries, at Peace Conferences, has been the immediate surrender of Israel, and all Jewish inhabitants are to be killed, in situ.

At peace conferences, it has always been the Arab countries that have rejected the proposal --- even when they were the ones made it, and Israel accepted it. The consistent reason for the rejection, is that the proposal leaves too much land in the hand of Israel.

Israel has setup a number of contingency plans, based upon what happens. No doubt a contingency plan was created years ago, involving the possibility that Hezbollah won an election. That being the case, part of the plan would be to invade Lebanon, in an effort to cut off all supplies to Hezbollah.

Is Israel justified in invading Lebanon? Probably not, but considering that the opposition force has two aims, their actions are understandable. The two aims:
* Rename Israel, Palestine, and making it a Muslim state;
* The extermination of every Jew on the planet, regardless of where they live;

I think stopping the terrorists from shooting rockets into their country is more than reason enough to invade Lebanon.

If there is a plan that has surfaced about invading Lebanon, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. Only a complete fool would run Israel and not forsee a day coming when they might have to destroy Lebanon. Honestly, don't you think even the US government has plans set aside ahead of time about how to attack and destroy any country on Earth which may someday become a threat? That's not setting up a plan to eliminate some nuisance, that's just sound military strategy. All countries which have even halfway competent leaders had better have such contingencies planned for.

First of all World War 3 has been the quietest war. It started when the U.S went in to Afghanistan. Cant people realize that the u.s and israel are taking over arab countries 1 by 1 (Iraq, Afganustan, Lebanon, palestine) and then Syria and Iran, then jordan then egypt, then they will try to take saudi arabia but they will fail. the motive is to take that country and move on to the next target (Syra and Iran)

YES, Israel has been planning this for 40 years.
Israel stole palestine in 1967 and put all its people in a big prision. ( Ghetto)This prison is called the palestine regions or whatever but it is a prison.
the people cannot go out without permisson and cannot travel within their own country and cannot build houses etc etc. it is a prison. they have 75% unemployment.they suffer.
Th United Nations condemned this action and made a resolution to force Israel to stop but the USA vetoed this actiona ndnhas done so 15 time since. therefore the USA is aiding and abbetting Israel to continue with illegal actions to imprsion and torure the people of palestine for 40 years now. Those people are protesting and complaining and trying to get attention or do whatever they need to do to kick the isrel invadres out of their country and to stop them form taking over.
Israel portrays these protests as ATTACKS but they are really defensive futile gestures to end their pain and beg for help from the world.
Israel plans to force all the palestinians out of their own country and take it over completely and this attack by them is just a step in their long plan.
Israel is the aggressor. USA helps them and that is one of the many reasons the muslims hate us. Israel should get out of palestine and let those people go.
Their own actions are un-jewish and anti-god and not right. shame on israel.
they should stop calling the palestinians terrorists just because they are defending their homelands and their families from this jewish agreesion and genocide.
the palestinians have a right to defend themselves. Othere muslim nations are helping them and their missles are not agressive but defensive and long overdue.

No. Israel has ceded so much land that was clearly given to them in 1948 and even more so as outlined in the Bible. I'm sure every Israeli wants peace. They do not quarrel over land, they just want Hezbollah out. They had to react that way because if they didn't, kidnappings of soldiers and citizens would escalate.

I think what Israel said, that their attacks are only going to be in and out, is a sham. I believe actions speak louder than words and the Israeli build up and nature of their devistating attacks show this.
I would guess they plan to occupy the entire country of Lebanon.
Whether this is a plan to create a buffer between itself and Syria/Palestine or if it is part of a master plan with the US is yet to be seen.

Chaim Weizmann, head of the international Zionist business enterprise, wrote (around 1919-1920) to best Minister David Lloyd George that Lebanon grew to become into "nicely-watered" and that the Litani grew to become into "valueless to the territory north of the proposed frontiers. they are in a position for use beneficially in the country lots further south." He concluded the Litani grew to become into "necessary to the way forward for the Jewish nationwide domicile.'" however the British and French mandate powers saved the Litani fullyyt in Lebanon.(40) Israel ought to enhance its annual water grant via 800 MCM (approximately 40% of its annual water intake in 1993) if it had endured get admission to to the Litani by endured/everlasting occupation of southern Lebanon.(38) yet another rationalization for Israel to choose the Litani is that, distinctly alongside the Israeli coast, many aquifiers are under pressure and their water is greater and greater brackish.(39)

There deffenately is a hidden motive behind it all. The U.S is run by Israel (jews). Israel is the U.S 51st state. They are both run by cabals who want to enslave the free world and stop us human from evolving so they can run us by fear. The cabals have no free will, they are them selfs slaved by the dark force.
