Be prepare in advance...as much as possible...with a plan of action and interesting activities for your age-group. Present the material clearly and tightly focused...not too much at one time...then sit back and let them talk...and then respond, showing that you have really HEARD what they have to say. This is a great formula for any kind of leadership. If you're the one doing all the talking, you're not a very effectual leader. And, finally, chill...don't be nervous about your experience or knowledge...being confident is important in good leadership...and knowing when to admit, openly that you may have made a mistake...just correct it. We're all human; the kids will respect you more when they see how well you handle yourself. Did I mention listening...:)

I think you need to talk to the main youth leader and find out exactly what it is that you will be doing.

Ask questions. more than a number of Questions. study all the atheist and anti-Christian literature you are able to. God delusion were given you all started - now study / receive different atheist books. learn the bible and discover the contradictions. analyze Judaism and how Jews reject Jesus, and the clarification why. it really is a properly properly-known secret that if you're searching for to sink Christianity, Jewish theologians were doing it because the Church fathers were of their diapers. also analyze theories that the Bible replaced into not written by skill of the disciples, yet by skill of others. learn new testment contradictions with the former testomony (lower back, the clarification why Jews did not convert ). it may also be your body of recommendations. if you're a flagrant atheist, who pokes doubt at each thing, they could in basic terms supply up and ask you to go away. it really is your objective! you need to even attempt to strengthen atheism interior the children team.

First never underestimate God's power to work in anyone's life and through anyone no matter what age they are. Your greatest limitations are those you place upon yourself with your mind.

Remember though that any child of God and especially servant will fall under greater temptations from Satan to try and ruin your ministry and witness.

Trust in God, pray, and have faith that God knows what he's doing in impressing upon another to use you in a certain way. Listen to others and your elders in the faith and apply to your life and learn. Be not Judgmental with those you live with and work around.

Congratulations :)

This is an honor...

Pray about it, talk with other youth leaders, and see what u can learn from them... talk to ur head youth leader and see what he/she expects u to do etc...

And under his/ her guidance, you will do fine.

Cordially,
John

Pray before everything you do. Ask God to give you something to give to the youth. Open your Bible before you have class and after prayer to let God lead you.

You should pray and ask God, not us because there are so many here that could be false witnesses or really mess you up. Pray and Bless you for being in church and working in church!
