and have rarely used the "race card" in support of my views...BUT....I am told time and time again "I DO".

Illegal immigration is SUCH an important issue I feel "violated" when anyone (either side) uses race as a factor.........so my question FINALLY.......do you think people who have valid concerns about illegal immigration use the race card? and if you answer YES......please explain how?

People who have a logical stance on immigration reform don't need to use the race card; regardless of what side of the issue they find themselves in.

I think that race can be an applied factor, it would be illogical to rule it out as a factor, simply because it offends some people. If it is recorded that a specific race, more so than the others, has a detrimental affect on society, and it is also proven that that race accounts for the majority of the immigration to the country, then it is logical to "use the race card." The opposite applies as well. If a specific race is having a positive effect on society, and is immigrating to the country, then "the race card" can be used in favor of immigration. I am not saying that either is true, only that is is a factor that must be considered, excluding it would be illogical.

I am 100% against Amnesty and I want ALL illegal immigrants deported as they are found, immediately and without questions.

I have a problem with "illegal supporters" who are either married to an illegal or are in a romantic relationship with one or are connected by any other familial relationship to an illegal, because obviously their opinions are biased by that reason and they will not be able to see any kind of reason and logic in this issue as they are governed by their hearts and what they personally want, rather than what is best for the country as a whole. Therefore, I absolutely discount any postings in this forum by anyone I know who is connected with an illegal immigrant familially or romantically.

I do not agree with anyone using "race" as a card in this discussion and whenever I see postings that are obviously racist, it turns my stomach because those peoples' views are not valid reasons against illegal immigration and I don't agree with any of them. As others have said here, illegal immigrants are all colors and races and no one is singled out here. I am against ALL illegal immigrants being in the USA!

Yes the race card is played, by both sides of the issue. People get caught up in their passions for this issue. Why wasn't this an issue 20 years ago? It was, amnesty was given to illegal immigrants. I personally hate the race issue because then hatred is caused between all races. I know plenty of ppl of different races and it irks me that ppl play that card as a form of degradation. It literally gets on my last nerve. I think that you are not a race card player. I do disagree with you though.

I am pro amnesty as well, and no, why is it a race card; many people throw that in no matter what you ask; I wouldn't take things as seriously as you in this debate, especially here at Yahoo ans.

People who get all involved lose sight of what they stand for and get all tangled up in silly arguments; as an example, I do not quite understand the additional details to your post. Maybe that's the stuff that has to stop. People around here seem to know eachother on a first name basis. I find that more odd than being called out about a race card. I could care less if someone did that to me. Big deal.

Why would you feel violated?

The race issue is a factor, are you blind? There are some radical, bigots on this board who spew nothing but hate for these people.

Is a statement like "why are all Mexicans stupid" not a racist statement?

If you claim to be pro amnesty, I truly don't get your sensibilities....I am offended and disgusted when I hear these few, and there is just a few, who make those outrageous statements about illegals....

Race is a factor, and if you don't see that, you are on the moon....sorry but true.

I couldn't care less about where a person is from...I want the laws enforced...I do not care what color they are..I want the laws enforced...I want immigration laws enforced and those who have broken those laws judged and sentenced with a punishment that fits the crime. I do not support racism in any way shape or form. I have seen more racist comments by illegals and there supporters here than by those who support the law. To be honest..i felt "violated" too when I saw my flag being disrespected and dishonored only to be replaced by the flag of another nation here in my own country. To answer your question...I think those who do NOT have a valid argument are the first to use a racial slur or claim that a person who is anti -illegal is a racist.

Not sure if I remember anything of you using it. It didn't stick in my mind if you did.
I don't agree with you for Pro Amnesty. Sometimes harshly and nippingly-I think you have nipped too. Oh well
I think the race card is misused often. Yes by Pro illegals more.

Illegals need to GET OUT or face the consequences of the law. For too long our nation has turned the other way as these people came into our great nation and ruined it by bloating the welfare state, stealing from taxpayers and not paying their way. Regardless of their race, illegals need to leave via attrition and pay for breaking the law.

I believe using the Race Card is Wrong, and could in a way be considered Racist by using it.................

I'm completely opposed to Amnesty in any form.......

I believe ALL ILLEGALS need to be Deported............

Europeans,Asians,Hispanics,etc,etc........

I dont Discriminate.................

Did you know that many Illegals are White?

If not I suggest you go see the Illegal Russian Community in Brooklyn,NY.................................

That being said,I have Friends who came from other countries who entered this country Legally....................

They feel the same way I do,if not stronger about this issue......

Yet by voicing my opinion on this matter I get Branded a Racist..............

People really need to Stop their Ignorance.................
