they will loose control of what their own theories and what they want to believe as reality. Loosing control is scary, but what they don't understand is that its the best thing that could ever happen. When you rely on God for the decisions and for everything; every pressure in your life, it takes that off of you and stress doesnt kill you, and stress can really kill you. Its a proven fact.

Mamagail wrote "Every one believes there is a God regardless what they might say ,They just don't want to give up their life of sin"
everyone? Do you have ESP? because i do not believe in god, i tried when i was younger, and i do not believe. What is the nicest way to put this: You do not know what everyone believes. If you think you do, then you've got some issues. I'm not being rude, but that statement was not thought out at all. Not everyone loves or believes in god. my life goes on with no god. i don't question a god for my misfortune, and i don't thank one when my life goes well. i thank myself and the many other people, friends and strangers alike, who've gone out of their way to be nice to me and others around. i don't blame anyone or anything when someone dies, or someone gets sick. it's life. so no, i don't believe in god, and i am very happy with that. i have no problem with those who do believe. i just think it's silly that some people can't accept others ways. By the way, i don't live a life of sin (which you said is the reason people don't admit to believing in god) I am a good human, i have compassion for everyone. even for my not so favorite people.

I want evidence. It's all based on a book that may be a load of BS. There's no evidence that some of the stuff like noah's ark even happened. Show me the evidence.
It's like a history book. We believe the history book because there is EVIDENCE!
Just for an example let's say that there was no evidence that WW2 happened. Would people believe that it happened? Probably not. But the fact that there is evidence, eyewittness accounts and a lot of damaged land that was called a battlefield makes it believeable!
Let's say you and one of your parents have a fight, no fist fights, just a heated argument. You tell it to your friends the next day. Your friends ask "Where's the evidence?" You say" I don't have evidence" They believe you anyways. Years and years later the fight becomes less believeable because there is no evidence to back it up. You tell the same story again and they have a hard time believing that it happened because there was NO EVIDENCE!

It isn't hard for people to believe in god at all. That's the REAL problem. Around 87% of the people in the USA believe in god.
All that is necessary to believe in god is to acquiesce to gullibility and surrender your intellect to the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of a bunch of ignorant Bronze Age fishermen and wandering goat herders. All you have to do is accept a delusional cosmic 'truth' that embraces things like:
*Â Â a universe in which all that exists are the earth and heaven
*Â Â solid 'firmmament' structure (the sky) seperating the earth from heaven (terrarium earth)
*Â Â talking snakes and donkeys
*Â Â demons chased out of people and into pigs
*Â Â friendly spirits
*Â Â evil spirits
*Â Â walking on water
*Â Â multiplying loaves and fishes
*Â Â people raising from the dead
*Â Â stopping the sun in its tracks
*Â Â parting seas
*Â Â people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the 'other side' of the sky)
*Â Â world-wide flood that drowned the earth to a depth of 40 feet above the tallest mountain
*Â Â creating people from dust bunnies and ribs
*Â Â magical tree of knowledge
*Â Â god speaking from a burning bush
*Â Â ritual cannibalism, by eating god in the form of a cracker
It is quite evident that in a sane world, if someone were to go around asserting that ANY of those things represented an innate 'truth' pertaining to the nature of existence and reality, that person would end up being locked up in the 'State Farm for the Funny'. Oddly, though, MASS insanity seems to convey some sort of automatic immunity along with it, since hundreds of millions of people assert ALL of these things to be true, and nobody thinks anything of it (well... SOME of us do). Not only are these people NOT locked up, but it is considered to be bad manners... politically incorrect... 'intolerant'... to even call attention to the obvious insanity of these ideas. Yet approximately 87% of the adult population of the USA is INFECTED by what seems to be some sort of insidious brain virus, that is transmitted in the form of information.
So, you've got it a$$ backwards... you should be concerned that there are so few rational people trying to stem the tide of delusion and willful ignorance.

I think most of them here are Running from the Hounds of Heaven they know they will give in eventually but they are still playing the game they are like little children having thier last little temper tantrum. We all did this ( I remember doing it ) is kinda cute if it wasn't such a dangerous game. Keep praying they will come if God is calling them.

I guess because telling yourself, 'Hey, what have I got to loose?' isn't the same thing as really believing. I can tell myself to believe I live on the French Rivera but that doesn't mean I really think it's true.

Zeus, Jesus ,Greek Mythology, The Bible. I think that they are all intertwined. Their are too many consistencies with each. For example Jesus says somewhere in the Bible let thy eye be single and lots of people think that refers to meditating. Accessing the pineal gland. Look at the myth about Cyclops they had one single eye. Coincidence. I think not.

Its hard for people to believe in God because there is no proof that he exists and they are afraid to step out on faith and trust in him
