He can be outside for 2 minutes and he stinks. He is a inside dog- just goes out for bathroom breaks. I give him baths and they will last until he goes back outside. Any ideas how to cure this?

Wahaha! Oh, boy... It depends. Does he roll in stuff, like others have suggested, or does he just have body odor? I have a large male Boston that has terrible body odor if he's out running for a while. It's hard to explain to people unless they smell it for themselves. Bostons smell different than other dogs to start with.

Nevertheless, you should watch him very closely and see what he's up to out there. If he's rolling or getting into something, that's probably your culprit. To stop that, you'll just have to go outside with him and keep him from doing it.

If he just does his business and comes back in, then he is either

A) Peeing on the back of his own front leg. (Put posts in your yard that he like to pee on, so he doesn't try to aim at nothing and hit himself.)

B) Getting poop on himself. (You can wipe it off yourself with a baby wipe. I know, yuk!)

C) Just a stinky dog.

For C, about all you can do is bathe him. Try some different pet shampoos. Some work better than others.

You can also try to change his diet. I suggest a good-quality dry food with meat as a main ingredient, salt *way* down on the list, and it's best for a Bossie if you find one without corn. (Change slowly, or you may have a mess on your hands...) A good dog food will not only keep him from having an upset stomach and that nasty Boston gas problem, but it will also improve the condition of his skin and coat, possibly eliminating the odor problem in the process.

I hope you find a remedy for this! Poor little guy! Best of luck to you!

Have you had rear end cleaned out where it goes pee? A lot of people don't know that little dogs need help in that area whereas larger breeds do not. Call your groomer and they should be able to do it for free or darn near free

He's likely rolling in something foul....go with him and watch what he does. The only way I can think to make him stop this is to walk him on a leash and not let him stop to roll? And don't let him in your yard, something out there is too tempting for him!

It could be his anal glands. Your vet could check this for you.
