No matter where you go, or who you ask everyone has their own little remedies. Castor Oil is one of them. Whether it be in an orange drink, or an omelet. It can be VERY uncomfortable for you though. I'm not a doctor, and even if you ask a doctor, they won't suggest it. Another big thing is walking, but again, that only works if you are in active labor (4 cm dilated or more.) Walking doesn't hurt though, and it can help get the baby to drop lower into your pelvis which will help thin you out. So I do suggest walking, A LOT OF IT. I walked a mile with my cousin every night for a week, and the following week she was 2 cms dilated. Be warned though, she was a week late b/c her pelvis was to small, and had to have a c-section. SEX, sex ALWAYS helps. They don't tell you though that the only time sex can help is if the woman "climaxes" or has an orgasm. When she has the orgasm she starts off contractions. Be careful when it comes to having sex though, make sure you aren't leaking any fluid, it can be very dangerous to the baby.

There is one last thing you can do, that I actually laughed off until the doctor said it was true. Nipple stimulation. It lets off tiny chemicals that supposedly help move labor along. I've never tried it, nor heard of anyone trying it. The doctor said it's true though, so I guess anything can help.

I can only ask you wait until you are at least 38 weeks. The doctors say 36 weeks and you are good to try and induce the labor yourself, but I think you'd rather be safe then sorry!

Other then that, just wait it out. I can only imagine how bad you want the baby out right now. Just try to keep your mind occupied and the baby will be here before you know it! I hope I helped!

It can be very uncomfortable and you wouldn't want to do anything that would compromise the health of your baby. Walking is a good thing to do, but I wouldn't try to make it happen faster than it should. The longer the baby can stay in there if it's healthy - the better for the baby and the more ready his/her body will be to come into the world! Don't get into a situation where you go into the doctor early and get pitocin induced - that's one decision you'll regret unless they can get you an epidural before the pain hits.

You need to wait at least one more week. A baby is considered full term at 38 weeks. Sex is the best thing to make you go into labor, but only if you orgasm. When a woman has an orgasm it releases oxytocin, the same chemical they inject per IV to induce labor. This oxytocin cause your uterus to begin contractions and the contractions dilate your cervix. The same chemical release can be reached through nipple stimulation. The castor oil remedy will only make you have diarrhea!

there is lots having sex, but oral is better as it is more affective as semen has the same thing in it as they use in the hospital to start u off also nipple stimulation but u have to do it for a long time that worked for me but this causes a long labor as i was in labor for 30 hours but they only work if u are ready to go into labor and i think u should just enjoy ur last weeks relaxing as u still have 3 weeks to go give ur baby a better chance

I went to a concert the night before my oldest son was born, and he came at 37 weeks. I've always said he came so early because he wanted to know what all the noise was about.

Seriously, please be patient and wait, it's almost up. If your due date is in three weeks, take this time to prepare for your baby, and relish this time with your baby's father, because you will never have this time again. Good luck!

Some things that might help speed your labor up would be walking, eating spicy foods, sex, etc. It definately won't be much longer! Spicy food worked for me...I had chili for dinner and went into labor the same night! Good luck and I hope my advice helps!

jumping jacks did for me the first time. good hard sex the second time, and alot of stress did it the third time. Take your pick. But honestly, walking is the best way to start your labor and make it quicker and less painful. of course it never feels as good coming out as it did going in. good luck to you

Lavender worked for me when I was late. I took a long bath with lavender oil and used some avalon organics lavender lotion. I went to bed that night and was in labor by 1 am. Your almost there, don't rush it.

SEX SEX and more SEX it will help but its not a guarantee that it will start your labor.
My friends said it helped them, me I was induced so I didn't have to worry about the start.
Best of luck! Motherhood is wonderful
Enjoy your sleep while you sort of can, I know it gets difficult at the end.
