I'd say to stick with a neutral like tan or oatmeal. Any furniture will match. Carpet should not make a statement. It need to just blend in and not scream "look at me". Anything too dark shows lint and too light shows stains; go with a medium tone.

Forget the walls. A gallon of paint is much cheaper than a room of carpeting. I love the fact that you are going with the same color throughout your home. I like the continuity it provides. I like beige or tan...goes with everything. Peach is a neutral, but a bit "girlie". Just make sure that you get the very best padding you can. Your carpet will wear much better and last longer that way. Have fun.

If you only want one colour throughout then go with a marbled brown colour. If you are a bit more daring maybe an emerald green, and add some of this with the blue and brown to the furniture with throw pillows.Or maybe green in the bedroom and a medium blue in the living room.

It sounds like you need a neutral color and I had a lot of good luck with an off white carpet that had lots of speckles in it. Black brown and what not and I noticed that when even and idiot dropped and burned a cigarette burn in it you didn't notice it because of the speckles. It never did get a specific stain on it. It just took one dirty old dog to finally make me ditch the carpet. I washed it and noticed a wet rug smelled a lot like my dog when it was wet. Make sure to treat it with a stain guard I would think.

I would get berber (not sure on the spelling) with a cream color base that has flecks of tan and blue perhaps. The nice thing with berber is a) it has flecks of a bunch of colors so it's easy to match b) the multi-color thing makes it hide dirt better c) It is a really short, tough carpet so it doesn't show imprints very badly and d) it's cheap

Use tan for uniformity. For variance of colour in yr home try beige, cream or very light grey.

A light cream or and off white should do it, make sure it is a stain proof... that would help... I dropped hot chocolate and it came right off

Don't go with white--it shows dirt. You can never go wrong with tan. Go with that. We have tan in our house and it's great..doesn't show dirt, nice and clean looking.
