i need more fundraising ideas. ive got a bake sale or a car wash. but what else can i do?

Garage sale, gather up stuff for back to school and make back to school baskets. (you can buy that stuff cheap)
make up new baby baskets and sale them along with new home baskets, senior citizens baskets, car wash baskets, book baskets, cd baskets. Buy used baskets at the salvation army, along with other things. Go to the Dollar store and buy things to put in those baskets, have people bid on them, or buy them.
Paint baskets, garden baskets, just anything you can think of you can make a basket and sell them. People love those baskets. But buy things at the dollar store, or dollar section in Target so it doesn't cost much.

We use to go to business an get Sponsor then wash windows in the old folks homes or hosp made for good press pictures of boy scouts sponsored by Bill's Fords

Maybe offer to clean out peoples garages, and then having a yard sale. Or just ask for donations for it.
Do yard work for a fee.
Auction off the kids, you know they can do yard work or whatever for the winner.
