Can you get married at the same time/place where you get the marriage license? I live in Ohio, and it's hard to find a judge to do it here. They are booking out to the end of September.

Contact the courthouse in Indiana. I know in TN, you get your license one place and then you travel to one of the "wedding chapels" to get married there. That is what I did - but that is called elopement. In KY you can get your license and then find a judge in the courthouse who would be willing to marry you.

As far as I know, there is no waiting period, but to be sure I would contact someone in the specific county you wish to marry in. Also, you were talking about judges, you'll also want to make sure that the judge in that county preforms marriages, because in some, like where I live, in Franklin county, IN, the judge does not even preform marriages.

Try this website: It had lots of Q & A, and a section at the bottom with phone numbers for each Indiana county.
