I have 2 one-year old black labs, and one has already gone gray all over his chin. is that normal or is there something wrong?

Some human get gray hair in their twenties. Did you adopt him from a shelter? Maybe the previous owners (if applicable) weren't sure of his age.

It is not uncommon. But if your lab starts exhibiting changes in behavior, dry coat, loss of hair, weight gain, oily scent, have him checked for hypothyroid. Vets are seeing hypothyroid in younger dogs all the time.

yes that is normal. I have a chihuahua she is 12 you can see her pics on dogster.com look under muffin prissy. all that white use to be black. now she is pretty much a brown and white chi

maybe just genetics...my black lab is 13 and has almost no grey hair.

he probably been playing around and his chin has been rolling in the grass fading.
