I like horses, but have never eaten one. Or part of one (because they tend to be quite large). Horses are eaten in many parts of the world, and i am not against *trying* horse meat.....but i'd rather not eat a horse i have come to know personally. But if they were bred as eaters.....meat is meat, right?

I just love meat, so if pressured or hungry I would probably eat some horse meat dish.
It does mean certain effort to stop myself from thinking of it as an animal with feelings, traits that I admire them for and so on. I am pretty succesful most of the time but it's a struggle and I did notice I eat less and less meat.
Don't get me wrong, I love horses. In the childhood I had a special bond with one. It was long time ago so I could eat one now, but I wouldn't for instance eat a dog or a cat. I see them as my companions and besides - too clever for that.
Lambs - cute, but it's hard to find more stupid animal, ask any shepard. I can eat them all day long.

Cows for pets or meat? Pigs for pets or meat? Rabbits for pets or meat?
I wonder what makes the answers to all these questions so different! I don't have a good answer for you, but I'm a meat eater (though regrettably so) so I guess I probably should say horseburger vs. hamburger - in the grand scheme of things, no big difference!

Meat? Your joking right? Anyone that would eat a horse would eat a dog, or a person.

I was a zoo volunteer and I know firsthand that there is a place in Nebraska that breeds and raises horses to provide meat to various captive carnivors, like tigers.

Whichever you want. I don't see why eating a horse is so much different from eating a cow.

i have to say pets, mainly because I've never eaten horse...but I always said I'd never eat rabbit, and was tricked into it by my aunt,so I won't say I'll never try it either,it's just not on my to-do list. :)
