Im a conservative but they way he goes about expressing his beliefs bothers me. I dont believe in homosexuality and i have my doughts about this war but come on protesting at soldies funerals thats wrong. Im a patriot and what he says about this country (U.S.A) PISSES MY OFF. If i ever met him in public i would kick his and his son ***. Protesting is ok going to funerals and telling the poeple that there child and loved ones are going to hell is wrong, funerals are not for the deciced so much as for there loved one to mourn so let them do so in peace

It's been said but bears repeating; he's a malicious, black-hearted despicable excuse for a human being. Phelps is an American bin Laden, without the guns. Whoever let him take the title of 'Reverend' should revoke it, or accept partial responsibility for his hate mongering. He should be classed with the KKK, Neo-Nazi*s, and every other kind of vicious hateful thug - and treated accordingly.
Funny thing is, he's been doing the same thing at the funerals of homosexuals and AIDS victims (no matter how they got the disease) for over 20 years and the media paid no attention to him. Only when US troops were targeted did most of America seem to care.

First of all, let me say that the way he attacks people with slander and libel is infuriating. Also, picketing funerals is disrespectful. However, that being said, what he is doing is preaching to the world about the sins that they are committing and condoning so that they might save themselves and enter into heaven and not be sent to hell. He thinks what he is doing is the right thing, and he has even said that he does it because he loves people and wants them to realize the truth and change. Still, he gets on my nerves. Him and his whole group. I saw them when I was in Topeka earlier this year and I wanted to stop and say something but I couldn't.

OMG the Phelps just live a few towns away from me and he is a nut job. I tell you what! I would dare him to come to my sons funeral that just died protecting our country and protest his funeral. I would kill him. Literally. Some of their own family members have disowned them and have had to move out of state and change their names because this family is crazy.
btw when I say son and his I mean that figuratively.

I think he is a repressed and confused Homosexual. His son who lives in Canada is quite different from his brother who lives in Topeka.

some people just say that he only says the things he does because he wants to convince himself that he himself isn't what he thinks is the worst sin of all.
