yes, one who believes in the bible should obey it. an idol is anything a person puts before God, be it music, television, family. as a believer i should obey that, but sometimes i fall short ("all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God) and therefore i rely on God's justification and sanctification in my life through His Son's work on the cross. Praise be to God!!

Do you bow down and worship the actors and actresses and put them before God?
Are they the bibles rules or Gods rules? If you look at the 10 commandments they arent that hard to do. Before you worry about rules, the most important thing is believe in Jesus and then everything else seems to fall in place. Read a gospel if youve never read a book of the bible. Try the book of John. www.biblegateway.com

Believing in the Bible is an extension of trusting in God. The Bible is the most comprehensive record of God's interaction with Humankind, and has a lot of direct revelation concerning God's will for us.
The whole point of the Bible is not a list of rules. It is a message of peace between God and Mankind, offered as a new life in the Spirit.
Is there a moral code present? Yep. It's part of the package.

Only God is good. Jesus said that. The quote was , "Why do you call me good, only God is good." His point was, are you acknowledging that I am God. Second point is that He was saying no man is good. He was saying that all men fall short of the perfection of God.
"God gave the Law but mercy and truth came by Jesus Christ" , the Bible says.
I don't know what happens to persons who say they are saved but keep living just as they did before.
I believe that God wants me to practice good and holy living and when I fail He wants me to repent and start over and over and over. Strongholds of sit were built in my life and it didn't happen all at once. I am responsible to work on these strongholds. That's my part. God will give me the victory if I am willing to fight the battle. Sin is a cruel opponent and "the wages of sin is death." The Bible says, "Be angry and sin not." It is the right use of anger. I hate sin and what it does to my life and the lives of others. I am changing from day to day into a mature christian.

We all hold up things as favorites. That is not an IDOL an Idol is something we worship. Something we put between us and GOD. That being said we still usually throw up so many boundaries between us and GOD. Most of us really do have idols for most it is Money, many use Sex or Drugs Yes even Actors and Actresses. WE all fail we all sin. It is our job to work out our sanctification by overcomming our idols.

The Bible speaks of False Gods - you are speaking of people. If you worship that person and not God - Then you are correct.

100% Yes. Why believe in the bible if you do not intended to live by its rule, you would be just westing your time. Reading the Bible will change your life and put you on the road to understanding who God is and His (God) plans for you.

If you believe in the Bible, then you believe that Jesus said, "If you love me, obey commandments," including not having false idols or giving so much attention to celebrities that it's sinful.
It's true that it's impossible to be perfect. Thankfully, God doesn't comdemn us for making mistakes like that, but gives us the grace so we can change our minds on our own.
