My Dog, Angel, was diagnosed with Lymphoma and treated with Chemo over 4 years ago. (Dogs don't get sick or lose their hair as people do) Up until a few weeks ago, she was in perfect health. Recently she started gagging and having shortness of breath. These are unlike the symptoms she had before. The Veterinarian
examined her and said her lungs and chest were clear but her Tonsil was enlarged. He removed it and I am waiting for the test results to come back to see if it is Lymphoma. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation ...

I had a Golden once that had heart worms and had the same symptoms--gagging and panting real hard. He didn't have the problems your dog has in the past. I would think the Vet checked your dog for heart worms and if not she should be checked. Dogs can get heart worms even if they are on heart worm prevention simply by not getting the medication for one month. Once they get them the medicine doesn't kill them it only prevents them from getting them. GOOD LUCK I hope your dog gets better soon!!

I have no information for you, but my heart goes out to you. Here's hoping it is not the lymphoma back.
