I don't know anything about Sony, but Yamaha is the best.

You should consider that there is no one right answer for home theater systems because everyone likes a certain sound. So pseakers that one person may love, may sound terrible to another. bu tthat does not make them bad speakers.
Sony used to be a leader in home theater, but they have fallen from grace, and their stuff is no longer the quality it used to be IMHO.
If you want an all-in-one home theater system, listen to Onkyo or Denon. They are consistently rated highest by many industry publications.
