Ac 11:26 - and when he found him he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught large numbers, and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

63 references to saint*, only 7 references to christian*. Hmmmmmm. My identity comes from Messiah not from men. Saints are what He says we are. Christians is what the secularists called saints.

The literal definition for a saint is one of God's chosen people. Which is what all Christians are, but the word saint has a lot of connotations today that are not necesarily pleasing. People might think I see myself as perfect or better than they are if i call myself a saint. Also, in Catholocism (I think) Saints are dead. I am a Christian, and yes I am a saint, chosen by God.

Im both. A saint is a believer in Christ and God and a Christian is a follower of Christ.....if you ask a Roman Catholic which Im not, they will tell you that a Saint is a person who perhaps did miracles and was a notable Catholic person who was voted as Saint but the bible says nothing about voting a person to be a saint.

Christians ARE saints. You don't need some pope 500 years in the future to declare you a saint post-humously.
There's the Catholic definition, then there's the Christian definition.

I do not call people names like that, and you shouldn't either. I am both a Christian and a Saint. I don't call myself a saint because we are saints to God but it seems a little arrogant to call myself a saint, even though I know that God considers me one. I wish to be called a Christian Brother in Christ.

We are christian is also call saint, every christian is a saint.
this is not because we are holy by our act but by the grace of God, because of His blood that waste away our sin for whoever that believe in Him, therefore by grace and under the covering of the blood we are saint in the eyes of God. Therefore we are called saint, for we are called to be holy.

I call myself a christian because I try to Follow Christ. I do not consider myself a saint yet because that is a title that has other connotations (usually starting with having to have died first) However the question isn't what I call myself it will be what Does Jesus call me. I am hoping it will be "faithful servant"

Actually the Bible says that we as Christians are saints. I didn't know that until a few weeks ago. I learned it either in Sunday School or the sermon. It surprised me.

There are no saints. We are all disciples of Jesus Christ. We serve and work for him. We should not make ourselves more holier. I don't agree with some ppl calling other "saints" because it makes other ppl look better than others.
