I have a college placement test to take on Tuesday and I was wondering if smoking tonight could affect me at all.

I know it stays with you for about a month, but I thought that its mind-altering properties left sooner.

You're fine. If you were taking a urine test you have to wait 30 days, but taking a test to determine how smart you are will not be effected. If you are stupid enough to be smoking pot in the first place, the fact that you have a college placement exam a few days away is not really the issue. I suggest doing a hit of acid a couple hours before the test and then right before the test do two or three lines of cocaine. Just be sure the proctors don't see you. They may want some. Good luck.

No you would not be okay to take a test. Come on, medical tests are getting more sophisticated by the minute. Companies are trying to cover their arses. Do you think they are going to let a 20$ baggy get in their way if it means a liability claim?

The little "drug wonders" a person takes are worthless also. Believe me, I know from working with HR people.

You don't want to go there for an evening of heavenly pleasure or not. It's just not worth it.

BTW: The laws against marijuana suck! It's no worse than having a few beers or a few shots or a few wines. But, we live in a drug hysteria age - you can thank the political administration from the 1920's, 1930's, 1940's. Hysteria without scientific fact - kind of like religion and belief in a "higher power" LOL!

I think he is asking if he should smoke before his entrance exam for college. Not the actual drug test to see if there are drugs in your system. I don't know of any university that test regular students upon entering for drugs.
I would say if you already smoked it then just don't worry it is over and what is done is done. It won't effect you that much because usually the first times you try it there is little effect. If you haven't I would say don't do it just cause if you do then it will be on your mind.
The effects are not long lasting and despite popular thinking many well educated people smoke it and it doesn't effect your long term memory. I mean you wont forget to add or anything. There is conflicting scientific data on the subject by people who either hate it or think it isn't as bad as the government wants us to think.
I know many many many people that did this in college and did fine and I also knew many that did it and failed it is really how you deal with it.
I would say don't if you haven't
if you did, Well don't dwell on it and just keep positive thoughts about doing your best.
Just don't blame your the outcome on your actions ( everything can be taken again, maybe not right away but it can be taken again.)

In a word "NO" The reason is THC is stored in your fat cells, thus it takes longer to leave the system since it isn't metabolized in the liver. That's another reason marijuana should be legal if we allow Alcohol to be ingested and ruin our livers and brain cells. While marijuana only is stored in the fat surrounding the brain cell and takes up to 30-40 day's to leave the system, depending on the quality and frequncy of use. If you haven't smoked in the past 6 months and then you smoke 1 joint you'd probably be clean in 2 weeks, but if you smoke any more than that look to 30-40 or 60 days if you like to use.

Dude, light up. It's only Sunday, for Pete's sake. You'll be fine. Would you not drink a beer tonight for a test on Tuesday? You either studied or you didn't; you'll either know the material or you won't. But don't smoke and blow off studying... then you're messing up. Relax before the test... enjoy the last few hours of your weekend.

Take care!

Go ahead and do it...

Better to keep the pot heads out of legitimate education. You're better off at a community college with your wisdom and motivation anyway. It'll save you a ton of money, because the kind of jobs that you'd be trained to do in a university won't accept you anyway when you fail their random testing. .

I think you'll have a great future in the hotel or foodservice industries.

Good luck

If you are not a chronic smoker, and drink a lot of water, you might pass. Why take the chance though.

Sorry Twinki, but only chronic smokers need 30-45 days to clean up. If you only take a few hits and haven't done any before or after, you can clean up in days. When you say at least, where are you getting your information?

It all depends on how it affects you personally, its different for different people, as with any drug (illegal or legal). I knew a girl in college, she smoked every night, but always got A's in our psych class, spit out long passages of info almost verbatum, always scored the best of anyone in the class on memory tests, and never even cracked open her textbook (she had returned it, unopened, to the bookstore in the first week of class). Then again, I have also known the more stereotypical pothead who had a brain like swiss cheese.

Depending on how much you smoke, it's gonna stay in your system anywhere from 3 days to thirty. Thirty days is if you are a daily heavey smoker and quit. 3 days is if you have smoked once in that month. Best way to clean it out quick is to drink water like there's no tomorrow. Good luck man

Depends if you are a regualar user of marijuana or not.

If you aren't, THC stays in your system for up to seven days - this may or may not affect your memory/behaviour during that week.

If you're a regular user (3+ times per week) then it can stay in your system for up to 3 months.

Remember that if you study while you're high, you won't retain anything because it affects your short term memory
