A lot of 2 years olds do this. My son even stripped off at nursery school one day! It is probably totally normal however some children are hypersensitive to their clothing. You might want to try cutting the tags out of her clothes and make sure she wears clothes that don't have irritating seams. You could try putting her clothes on inside out one day and see if this helps. If it does then she is sensitive to them and you will need to be look out for clothes that are less irritating - for example don't have exposed seams. Oh and overalls work too as they can find it hard to get them off.

For some reason children like to do it. She needs to be taught that she should not be taking her clothes off. Each time she does it, she needs to be dressed and placed in a time out.

Maybe you can encourage her by playing games with her as well. By getting her to identify the different articles of clothing and telling her to show you how they should be put on or something like that.

Let it go for now unless she is taking her diaper off too. Then, I would spank her until she stops. So long as she is leaving her diaper on, wait a year or two. If she is still doing that at 4, I'd spank her for sure! Meantime, you could try putting overalls on backwards. Kinda hard for a kid to undo because they can't see the buttons. Anything that zips in the back that can't easily be pulled off her head. If she's around other kids, maybe they can "peer pressure" her into leaving her clothes on!

Your daughter is just fine! If it was acceptable, I would prefer walking around naked. Because I still have two boys in the home I have to settle for tube tops, shorts, and bra-less.

I'm watching my 2 1/2 year old grand-dughter while my son, her daddy returns to Iraq for the second time. My grand daughter prefers to run around naked herself especially now that she's pottie training (a taste of not feeling those daipers between her legs not to mention the heat) so I don't blame your 2 year old.

Also, remeber when we first started our menstrals.... how we had to wear that banana pad between our legs and it seemed like forever? Finally, we were done and how comfortable it felt... the freedom we felt when we didn't have to wear that banana till the next spill? Now can you relate?

Any way, still we have to at least put a bottom and top (girls) just because.... it's not acceptable. Just constantly explain to them that its not exceptable. It works! Don't let them fool you, they are VERY smart. Good luck!

If she is doing this at home it is normal. Kids loooove to be "auh naturelle..." lol If she is doing it in public maybe it is a behavioral problem...but she is 2 not 12. I'b opting for the syndrom that she will still be going through even when she is 3 and 4. Just give her boundries. Make it known that it isnt a good idea to do it at other ppl's houses or while out in public.

Start giving her some choices in what she wears (choosing between two shirts or choosing a color) and teaching her what the different articles of clothing are called. She's probably just looking for a little bit of individuality and control in her life... she is at that stage, anyway!

This is so normal. So what I do to cut down on laundry - give her one draw to take things out of to put on and another drawer to put things in she just took off ...then I come along and fold them up and put them in 'the other' drawer and don't have to continually launder and she gets to 'choose her own clothes' which is what she kinda wants to do.

all toddlers like to undress themselves and run around in their daiper/pull-up or naked, it's normal, my daughter will be 3 in two months and shes been undressing herself and running around the house in her pull-ups and sometimes naked (but only after shes had a bath), Im not sure when she will grow out of this stage, but I just keep reminding/telling her that she's a girl and needs to keep her privates covered with clothing!

Let her be free. I let my almost 1 year old daughter go Au-natural around the house too.
