Do Christians today place more relevance on the songs sung then they do on the scriptures themselves?

Sweet Sweet Gracey. Why is it that you chose as the best answer to you rhusbands sleeping problem a spiritist? I thought that was something of the devil? Did God tell you to choose the answer of a spiritist? Or was it just a lapse of good judgement? Did you hear it in a song? I don't think that answer was very scriptural.

Do you all know that inappropriate worship i snot worship at all? Did you know those things which are not true and not held up to the light of scripture are inappropriate for use in worship?
Does anybody know the song "These are the days of Elijah"? Does everyone enjoy singing that song which is so rife with biblical inaccuracies that I can't stand to be near such garbage.

I don't, though i suppose it is possible that some might. I know there's been more than one time where I just hummed rather than sang a part of a song in church because the words were unbiblical.

God is first. The Christians call the music Praise and Worship songs because we can praise and worship the Lord in song. The book of Psalms in the bible which are poetic lyrics are sung today in music and were also the hymns from 3000 yrs ago. Most Christians make it a must to read scripture daily. I don't know really. I myself really enjoy to worship GOD with song. It makes me feel closer to him and keeps me focused on the day ahead in a good way. I do however try to read the Bible and understand it as well. IT is a valuable source of information.
