As a Christian, I watch TBN simply so I can be aware of what ignorance and false teaching we are up against. This is what is being spewed over the airwaves. I think it's our duty to be kept up to speed of the false teachers/false prophets that are popping up and call TBN home. John Hagee, Marilyn Hickey, all the ones stated previously in another answer, they are unbiblical teachers. They tell you that in order to be blessed financially all you have to do is name it and claim it, however this also requires that you send a substantial "love gift" to them so they can in turn pocket that and put it towards another car, house, etc. There are only a few decent preachers on TBN that are thrown in mix so people can get the real truth (Chuck Swindoll, Greg Laurie, for example), but other than that, wolves in sheep's clothing the lot of them.

I am split on the idea of TBN. I agree to a certain extent of what you say is true. I can't help but wonder that also when I watch some of their stuff. I have a huge problem with the Big-Haired, Makeup lady. She grinds on my nerves real bad.
But yet, TBN also shows some amazing stuff. Really, really good true preachers, movies, documentaries, etc..
But, I have a problem with that woman. They are a bit over the top. She seems real phony to me. Charasmatic/Pentecostal I believe is what they are-------and that I don't agree with.

Lets separate the people on TBN who have to pay for their air time. TBN is vile, but it reaches nearly a billion people. People like D James Kennedy is for real, people like Benny Hinn is just like Paul and Jan Crouch-crooked to the core. You can tell the real Christians from the fake ones-just look at their message. But you are correct-TBN is bad.

No, there are a lot of good preachers and teachers on there. Rod Parsley, John Hagee, Merilyn Hickey, T D Jakes just to name a few.The people on there want to look their best and not make it look like all Christians are poor. God blesses His children.

i haven't seen every preacher on tbn so i can't form an opinion on their whole line up, but what i have seen seems rather unbiblical with a lot of ego stroking & encouragement of selfishness going on.

They are as full of crap as Pat Robertson leg pressing 2000 pounds.
They preach tithing and donating money....I can guarantee you they are driving around in $75000 vehicles, living in million dollar houses, and making millions from their tv shows, books and whatever else they can spew out of their mouths.

Wearing thousand Dollar suits and the Rolex on their wrist sure makes it hard to compare them to the disciples.

Good Question.
It has been said to hear them when they are on the bible, but they are so seldom on the bible it make them not worth watching.
I guess that teaching the bible verse by verse cuts into the profit margin, but I'd just be guessing
