ohmigod yes! lool. she gives this whiny meow and grabs her toy in her mouth and drops in front of us. its the most adorable thing. its like her signal "play with me dammitt!" she has a habit of dropping it a little away from us so we HAVE to get up. sneaky bitc*
i think she's a dog in a cat's body. she does everything else dogs do. and she's not afraid of dogs at all either...

My fully-grown Bengal cat Clyde, regularly plays fetch. Typically its a furry mouse or pop pom ball. He'll chase it down and then drop it back at your feet or by your side and wait for you to throw it again. Though I have realized that they don't have very good smell or vision like a dog, can't seem to find it if they lose track of where it went. I'm guessing they're vision is very motion-based.
Playing fetch isn't that intesting to be honest with you, he also knows how to open doors by jumping up and pulling on the door handle to let himself out of a room.

I do. Clark will fetch toy mice and bring them back to me so I can throw them again. This will go on until Fluffy gets involved catches the toy mouse & eats the fur tail. Lewis won't exactly fetch, but will bring me small stuffed toys for some rough housing. He looks like a dog, carrying the stuffed toy in his mouth. (he learned this being raised with a dog.)

I have 3 cats that fetch. Their favorite toys to fetch are pipe cleaners.I braid them together for more weight to throw. You can get a bag for less than 2 bucks.

Mine did once when she was a kitten. We spent an hour (when I was studying) where I'd throw her toy mouse down the hall and she'd run and get it and drop it at my feet as she went running by. I've tried to play with her like this again and she doesn't bring it back.
Both my cats fetch real mice, unfotunately.

The mother of one of my cats fetches. It is a rare trait in cats but she does it and then brings usually the jar lid or soda cap back so it can be thrown again.

Yes, we had a rather neurotic cat named Tootsie Roll who would fetch a ball from upstairs and under a bed in my room all the way downstairs and place it at your feet. She never bothered our two parakeets either.

Actually I do. She is an all white cat that just started bringing me her little sponge ball one day. She would follow me around with that ball in her mouth and meow continuously. Somewhat annoyed I took the ball from her and threw it. To my surprise she took off like a shot after it and came running right back with it and dropped it at my feet. Sometimes (now that she is an experienced fetcher) She will drop the ball a few feet away from me and then hit it with her paw towards me. She is very entertaining to watch and she loves to have an audience.

We do and he loves to chase sheets of paper we've balled up. He won't always return with it. Maybe you can encourage that by offering a treat if he comes back with the toy.
We have a wool ball with a bell inside of it that he will pick up and shake like a dog, it's really funny. He's more like a dog than a cat!

yes, my calico fetches balls...but only if they are made out of wadded up paper, and my other will sometimes fetch those little plastic rings that come off of a gallon of milk. Sometimes she forgets to bring it back to me and just plays with it on her own.

Our cat doesn't exactly "fetch", but she does run down the stairs to our daughter's bedroom, grab our daughter's stuffed toys, and then carries them back up stairs to the living room. We bring them back downstairs, and then one-by-one, she brings them back up again.
It's a good thing that our daughter has all them stuffed toys, because our cat used to grab our son's dirty socks and bring THEM up to the living room (YUCK!).
