I can not say this enough!!!
The 72 hours rule that everyone keeps talking about applies to in home sales. It does not apply when you go to a "normal place of business". It was designed to prevent people from being pressured into signing contracts just to get the salesman to leave their home. When you go to a place of business, you always have the option of walking out. You can not walk out of a sales situation in your own home.
When you take delivery of a vehicle, and drive it off the dealers lot, you own it!! The dealer is not required to take it back, and most likely will not. If he does, you will have to buy another vehicle from him, because he is not going to refund your money.
Some Damlier Chrysler dealers are offering a 30 day return policy on their new cars, but there are many fees and conditions attached!

I honestly think its 3 days. My friend did that once. She bought a new bmw and hated it the next day. She took it back the next day to see if they would give her back her old car and they said they had already sold it but they reimbursed her everything. They gave her her money back for the new car and what the other car was sold for. It was all reimbursed. Some dealers may be different. If you dont want to call the dealer and see what their policy is, call your local DMV or county services. Someone will know. Good luck : )

You have 72 hours to return the car. Just show up at the dealership with the car, keys and the contract and tell them you don't want it!
They will direct you to the original sales person........
and it just so happens he/she is on vacation? leave the car and the keys. Ask to speak to the loan officer over the loan officer over the loan officer until you find the right person to turn the matter over to.
They have to terminate the contact................

You are stuck with it unless you have a contract that gives you a certain amount of time to return the vehicle. You should have checked this out before purchasing it in the first place.

it depends upon the state you live in and the contract you signed
most states have laws that require a seller to allow you to cancel the deal under certain circumstances
first, just ask the seller if they will take it back and refund your money, it may be easy and no issue
if they are unwilling, then check the laws in your state and see what your recourse is
keep all your paperwork, act quickly

federal law states that everyone that buys a vehicle or a house or most any major purchase is subjuec to a "cool down law" that gives you 72 hours to return it but if you bought it from some jamok off the street you probably own it.

24 hours for big ticket items such as a car. Go read the invoice, it most likely states the timeframe.

If it's a new car, you may have 3 days. If it was sold 'as is', it's yours.
