The thing is, I'm 19 years old and I've never had a real relationship. The closest thing was a two-month period spent 'dating' a girl, even though we only saw each other once outside of school. We never even kissed (which lets you know what else I haven't done).
I've had lots of girls tell me I'm a 'sweet guy,' but none showed real interest in anything more than friendship. Does appeal come with age, or is a guy's 'sweetness' typical for girls to comment but never act on?

Im 19 and have only been in 1 relationship. I didn't date in high school. I was 17 before i had my first kiss. I think that people develop and mature at different times in their lives. Maybe the girls that tell you you are a sweet guy but don't seem interested are just not attracted to you. One of my best friends in school was the sweetest guy i knew but it was more of a brother/sister relationship in my mind. Get to know a girl on a different level. Go past friendship. Be patient, it'll come with time. Just don't lower your standards or settle and your wait will be worth it.
