According to the Mayo clinic, that is one of the symptoms of heart attack. It may be nothing, but my suggestion is NOT to gamble your own life. I'd suggest going to an emergency room NOW. If you are wrong, you wasted your co-pay (or a couple hundred bucks). If you were right, you just may save your own life...

Personally, I'd rather be wrong than dead... You?

The web site for the clinic lists the following symptoms.
See the 3rd line.

Pressure, fullness or a squeezing pain in the center of your chest that lasts for more than a few minutes
Pain extending beyond your chest to your shoulder, arm, back, or even to your teeth and jaw
Increasing episodes of chest pain
Prolonged pain in the upper abdomen
Shortness of breath
Sweating
Impending sense of doom
Lightheadedness
Fainting
Nausea and vomiting

Right now you need to get of the internet and call your local hosptial or Emerancy room and talk to a nurse or doctor that is on duty. Have arm pain and or numbness isn't something to mess with. Get medical help now. Better safe then sorry! Best of luck to you and I hope all is okay.

Heart attack causes left arm to go numb - not pain.

No. Maybe you pulled a muscle. Acid stomach (heartburn) can also cause this. You sound like you have anxiety issues as well.

Typically, you'll feel pain in your chest before you feel it in your arms.

Uhhh...no, it can cause pain to radiate down the arm, not just make it go numb. (especially in women) Please seek medical attention.
