I am 5'10, 66kg I have been in a gym before and I have suceeded in sort of shaping my body (meaning I'm thin but not scrawny thin). Still I am still pretty thin, specially forearms, wrists, hands. The problem with the workouts I've done is that once I stop doing them I kind of "shrink" again. Is there a more lasting solution? What exercises should I be prioritizing and what sort of diet should I be going for?

I was 6' tall and weighed 135 lbs I tried everthing to gain a little weight, I am now 185 lbs. I have tried every supplement on the market and almost every training program out there. I have learned to try and gain a little slower so I don't get fat in the process of trying to gain muscle. Try to eat more meals spaced throughout the day. When working out stick with the big compound movements like squats, deadlifts, and some pressing movements. Do these 2-3 times a week for about 30-40 min a session. Don't waste your time on isolation movements (wrist curls, dumbell flys, etc) and as far as suplements go a good multi-vitamin/mineral and a little extra protein (whey or soy are both OK). You also mentioned when you stopped you shrank. Why stop? This is a lifestyle change when you get in the shape you want try to maintain what you have built. Good luck and be patient.

Body Fat is important and required to survive. A certain percentage is an important necessity. I would suggest calling a doctor and have him help you create a diet and workout plan that will keep your shape and at the same time help you to gain some more mass. You will not only grow stronger but healthier at the same time. If you think you need to gain some weight fast. Try eating a lot of flour pastas. They are loaded with carbs.

Don't make yourself sick though :) too much is still bad.
