Boys act up out of frustration in trying to understand you grils. Take your question, for example: "Why must boys act up?" - No additional details, nothing. It's very subject to one's own interpretation, pretty much like everything else girls do and say.

Boys act up...that is just what they do. It's hard wired into thier brains. It's like saying Why must girls be emotional?

Girls are more imaginative when it comes to expressing themselves while boy are more physically and visually oriented. So you'll see girls cry more, while boys take out their emotions and responses to different things by doing something that is either visual, physical, or both. And it goes the same whether they are happy or sad.
