Yes, you can. number of diseases can be passed. For example, genital warts. Just skin to skin contact can transmit them from one person to another. Herpes (a noncurable std can also be passed while using a condom (I just checked on online and that was the first thing I saw.

Genitals warts are often microscopic and people are not aware they have them (especially internally). They can lead to cancer (cervical, I think).

Diseases like gonnorhea and several others can be passed through oral sex (especially the giver is more at risk than the receiver) and even through kissing. )...and the STD line said you are at risk even from french kissing and saliva as certain STDs can be in the throat--I did not, however, stop kissing but it did kind of scare me)

I got this information a few years ago through a national sex hotline. I would suggest looking online for the hotline numbers and speaking with someone (it's anonomous, but they can also send literature if desired). Perhaps even a local std clinic at the public health center can answer questions further or search online.

Here is a place to start:

Also be aware that condoms are not that safe. They have a failure rate of so and so % for pregnancy and the aids virus is 7 xs smaller than sperm cells as are other std viruses..they condoms are somewhat permeable to the viruses (ie-they can still get in).

Also be aware people do lie at times if they say they don't have anything (some do not yet know they do..some STD's in women like clymidia have no syptoms but continue to damage the body until it is too late).

If you do decide to proceed definitely ask for how many people she has had sex with. Some groups likes blacks or hispanics have a much higher rate of AID so if she has had partners from risky groups, she will take on their sexual histories. Same with IV drug use and sex with them.

I am in my 50's and not trying to scare you, but I became more sexual active during perimenopuase as it increases libido (horniness) and did check on this at the time..

I might recommend using safer releases like mutual masturbation, etc. Sites are online with more info or the sex hotline has safer suggestions.

The poster above is incorrect--you can get diseases without ejaculation (the precom for instance)

The only really safe way is abstinence. This will also have other benefits and protection such as emotional problems. I highly recommend this book...why wait by Josh McDowell. Although written from a Christian persceptive, it has tons and tons of genuine and valid, practical reasons of all types to wait and problems that early sex can bring about.

I wish I had read this as a teen. It would have definitely made me wait. My sons it and one remained a virgin till 18 and the another till 22 or 23.

It also gives practical ways to help remain a virgin. I recommend it for anyone--virgin or not- to reconsider having premarital sex.

The book has 37 reasons to wait and 26 reasons why teens have sex. He also has a book called why true love waits. (author--Josh McDowell)...I highly recommend reading why wait..you will not be sorry The library may also have this/these books.

You are very smart for asking this without just jumping in.,..BTW

Uhmm..yea! No protection is 100% sure. You can still get STD's and like one person said, you can still get her pregnant. I take it this is your first time having sex, and if it is, you can't be so sure you'll have enough time to pull it out. There is such a thing called "premature ejaculation." And guys that haven't had sex before are more prone to it then experienced ones.

My advice: Take your time. Your hormones will end up getting you in a lot of trouble if you let them.

Best Wishes!

The person who told you that disease is spread by both parties climaxing is a MORON. It can be spread by skin to skin contact to (certain diseases can). Condoms help but are not 100% effective. Some diseases can be transferred by oral sex to you can get it in your mouth and spread it to someones genital area and vice versa.

condoms do not necessarily cover the whole length and you can get certain diseases through skin to skin contact...you should talk to your girl about her past experiences and even get tested together before you sleep together. i mean...if you can't be good be careful...
