They run because they think they can get away.Alot of time they do.They will probably get caught another time but unfortunately the bad guy does get away.I been a cop for almost 14 yrs and I am convinced that there are safe houses all over that let the bad dude in no matter what they have done. They are usually not crying because they got caught, they are crying because the police used the necessary amount of force to subdue and handcuff the suspect.

The people run from the police simply because they don't want to get caught. They clearly aren't thinking straight and probably aren't thinking of the consequences.Dead or shot isn't running across their mind. It's getting caught and going to jail.Funny how they only cry once they are caught.

Preach on! My husband and I talk about this every time there is some poor mother on the news crying about how her son got shot while running from the police after he committed a crime.

You'll never know why this or that person runs from the police unless you been in that persons shoes.Im sure everyone has a different reason for running from the police.Fear because of something they heard.First time ever experience police.Maybe 15th time experienceing police.Maybe just for fun maybe they think it cool till they get shot.Im sure you'd hear a diffrent answer from everyone cause everyones different.

Who knows? But what puzzles me even more is, why do people feel sorry for idiots who run from the cops and then get beaten or shot?

Some people actually think they can get away. Some do it probably because they're scared. Others are high or drunk.....many reasons to run I guess. What makes me mad is when they run, get injured and then turn around and sue.

because they don't believe they will get caught.
But yes, those that run or fight always try to claim that too much force was always used.

When someone is about to hold you captive it is human nature to want to get away. And then to be held captive is very unnatural for human beings.

First they might not know if that person is a real cop or a psycho if they are undercover. Some people get scared and donno what to do other than run, that's human nature.
