If a seeing eye dog is allowed into a grocery store why can I not carry my 3 pound yorkie in when he never touches the floor at all?

Yorkies aren't service animals.

How would you like to see someone carring their snake or lizard around in a store? Probably not huh? What's the difference? I think it would be better since reptiles are hypoallergenic and your dog is not.
My wife has a maltese that is able to stay at home when she goes out. I don't understand you Yorkie people that can't leave your dog alone for 5 seconds. You think it's OK to go to the mall, grocery stores, an any other place that clearly states no pets allowed except for service animals.

They have to have a uniform policy. They can't say this dog can, but that dog can't come in. Besides, they're selling food and even though you may carry him around the whole time, a lot of people don't like animals around their food. Dog hair could still fly around. They can't make exceptions other than service dogs.

Please don't bring your doggie to the grocery store. Someone who uses a dog to help them because they have a disability is a lot different than someone who brings their dog to the store as an ornament. Plus, how often do you actually witness someone with a seeing eye dog? I have a feeling you and your yorkie would be regulars.
