My husband works outside and never takes a lunch break. He eats on the go. I try to keep this in mind when I pack his lunch. With summertime here keeping things cold is a must. And he likes alot of his food cold too.

I take a small Rubbermaid rectangle bowl and put water in it and freeze it. This goes inside his insulated lunch bag. I can then put him any kind of salad or fruit in a small dish and it stays nice and cold for him. I like to put in pasta salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, or fruit cocktail in the bowl. It's a nice cold snack on a hot summer day for him.

I have a much harder time in the winter because I have yet to find anything that reallly keeps soups, stews hot until he gets ready to eat it. Everything I have tried is cold by lunch time.

Have a good day!

I make batches of Chicken and mashed potoatoes, or pasta with Veggies. I put them in Ziploc containers and freeze them. I take one for lunch every day. Couple minutes in the microwave and all set.

you can use genuine tupperware boxes. You get the boxes in different shapes and sizes. You have different boxes to carry solid and liquid food and beverages. And most important is things do not spill off and no smell of course and tehy are microwavable too.
